No, I bought a couple of his albums. Recorded by..., in particular, is fantastic.
I see he's touring Switzerland in May. I hope I'll be able to catch him. I'd love to see him live.

I don't know where you live but he will be touring in Holland too, some festivals in summer and clubs in November. Maybe closer than Switzerland? Just send me a message and i'll keep you up to date.  smile

Re: Henrik Freischlader -New CD

Maybe in the meantime some vids from Henrik's recent tour are welcome:

And an interview from German TV at Henrik's tour start in February in Wuppertal:

The Dutch bluesmagazine.nl reported that there'll be a double gig of Henrik Freischlader and King Mo on 12 November in the "Effenaar" in Eindhoven. So it seems that Henrik's Dutch tour gets rolling.

By the way, I'll see him on 7 May at "Schwarzer Adler" in Rheinberg.  big_smile
Will be interesting to see how the band will sound after 2 1/2 months of touring.

Re: Henrik Freischlader -New CD

As usual, I'm a little late to the party......but I'm here now. Have heard the name mentioned here before, but never got round to having a listen (so much good stuff out at the moment it's hard to keep up).

Anyway, just having my first listen on Spotify (free streaming), and I'm very impressed so far. An order will be placed imminently! Henrik has yet another fan. His voice is very soulful, and reminds me a lot of Paul Carrack at times (no bad thing IMHO).

I like!!!  cool

Once again, thanks to the folks for bringing him to our attention....

I'm based in Switzerland -- just booked tickets for his gig in Ostermundigen on May 15. Thanks.

Re: Henrik Freischlader -New CD

Enjoy Bluesbraker!
Please let us know how it was. Give him and Martin Meinschaefer ( he is the soundman) my regards please.
Last Friday I was in Rheinberg at one of his last shows in Germany this tour. He played 3 hours and it was great again. Seen him 3 times this tour and all great shows and all sold out :Wuppertal, Muenster and Rheinberg.

Met Blues Sissi after the show and very nice talking, about Joe too of course.......

Re: Henrik Freischlader -New CD

Saw him play yesterday. Awesome! Great band, too but the drum solo went on a bit too long. I talked to him briefly but forgot to say hello from you. Sorry. Great evening for sure.

Hey all, little late but I'm here! Found out about him today when searching Dime for Joe torrents. His name came up and curiosity got the better of me. Searched for him on Google and Youtube and I like his sound and style! Previewed that epic 3 CD live set on iTunes, looking forward to getting a copy of it! Anyone know anything about UK tour dates? Also got into Philip Sayce too, gutted to learn I just missed him by a week or so here in Glasgow! Anyway, a new addition to my ever-growing guitar heros!

John

Hi John, There's nothing concrete for Henrik in the UK as far as I know as yet, but please get on to your local promoters as I'd love to see him here in Scotland too. Shame you missed out on Sayce, I was at the gig in Glasgow here was excellent. Better late than never though! smile
