Topic: Wanee Music Festival 2010

starts today.   big_smile

http://www.waneefestival.com/

Amazing lineup this year includes  The Allman Brothers Band (2 nights), Gov't Mule, North Mississippi Allstars, The Word featuring John Medeski, Robert Randolph and North Mississippi Allstars, Hill Country Revue, Widespread Panic, Devon Allman's Honeytribe, The Black Keys, Johnny Winter, Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band and lots more...

There are two stages (Peach Stage & Mushroom Stage).  The Allman Brothers always play the Peach Stage, which I won't miss, but it looks like I'll be spending a lot of my time at the Mushroom stage this year.

We'll be camping onsite with friends IN A CAMPER.  I was never much of a scout, but for those who are, there is also areas for primitive camping if you like sleeping in tents.  roll   Hotels close by as well.   wink

We went to this festival last year and we're now addicted.  Maybe my favorite festival ever.  Can't wait to see Derek & Susan's band.

I looked at the entire line up and about the only name missing was Phil Lesh to make that the ultimate tye-dye affair. Looks like a "smokin" good time Susan. Have fun and tell us more after it's over. Hope the weather is perfect all weekend. ENJOY!!!!

My brother tried very hard to talk me into this - he gave up when I told him tomorrow night is my first Joe show since HAB - bad timing - would love to have gone!  Expect a full report - - especially about Derek and Susan.  Maybe next year.

Sandy, my brother and his son (my nephew) will be at Wilbur.  Maybe you can see him.  He finally gets to go.  Fair warning though...he not purty as me.  roll

Sad thing is, we could almost be twins.  big_smile

Sorry for the temporary thread hi-jack - BJJ, if he looks somewhat like you  I'll probably have no trouble finding him!  Is it his first JB show?  I'll keep an eye out.

Now, back to our regularly sponsored thread....

Festival is over.  We had such a great time.  I've never seen so many impromptu jams.   One of the coolest things I've ever seen.    cool  These are a few pics we took.

Re: Wanee Music Festival 2010

Very COOL you two! That must have been a festival overload with all that talent there. Man if Dave Matthews & Blues Traveler had been there it may have turned into an eternal jam.
