Hi Barbara,
The Concert for Bangladesh is really extra special, absolutely love it!!! It was remarkable that Eric got it together and even made it to the show... Funny you should bring up our main man Joe and a Beatle/George cover...as soon as I saw that April 15th date in Phoenix with Keb'Mo" I thought, "Taxman"! Did you ever hear Stevie Ray's cover and Stevie was a bluesman?
I listen to Breakfast With The Beatles on Sunday mornings. A couple of weeks ago the feature was all about George in celebration of his birthday. I've read alot about the Beatles, but it was a different experience to hear George's voice and his words actually speaking about how Paul intimidated him and it was really Eric that gave him his confidence to embrace being a great guitarist. George and Eric shared the best bonds of friendships!
And right after James Brown passed away, I was listening to some coverage and the DJ played a B side of a 45 of "Something". I had never heard it and it was the only place it was ever recorded and apparently George said it was his favorite Beatle song ever covered by anyone!
