Topic: Hendrix Tribute show concert of the year

God
Where do I start
Although Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Los Lobos, Hubert Sumlin were not present, it made no mind.  This show was truely awesome!!

Living Color, Joe Satriani, Susan Tedeschi, Billy Cox, Chris Layton and Eric Johnson were just amazing.

Eric Johnson had more set time then anyone else it seemed. It did not matter to me. For my first time seeing Eric Johnson, he was simply amazing and his version of "Are You Experienced" was just superb.

I cant forget Ernie Isley and he was great as the opener with Chris and Billy Cox backing him up.

Susan Tedeschi joined Eric Johnson for excellent vocal traditions of Like A Rolling Stone and One Rainy Wish

Of course she played guitar at times and did her best to find a voice in the mix but it wasnt easy.  I was knocked out by Johnny Lang!!  Wow!! I had no idea he could play like that. That guy could rip. Him and Brad Whitford tore it up on "Fire."

I forget which song it was.  But Susan Tedeschi at one point played a little guitar behind her head.  It didnt last for long.  She had some tough competition.  She joined Brad and Johnny in Spanish Castle Magic and did her best in jamming whenever she could. She is truly a professional woman.

The Fox Theater was full which was testamont of the fact that Hendrix' music endures strongly 40 years after his death.

Jimi's ghost has to love it.

Re: Hendrix Tribute show concert of the year

Saw this amazing show last week in Wisconsin.  KWS and Sumlin were there also.
Joe Satriani jammed with Vernon Reed from Living Color.  Everyone was spectacular.
Near the end Brad Whitford's son 14 yrs old came out and played.  If this show comes
to your area get your tickets fast - it sells out quickly.  I never saw so many great
guitarists on stage together - 3 1/2 hours of awesome music.
