Topic: Hi there

New member here. Returned to guitar 4 years ago after a 15-year (or more) absence. Returning to the blues now, as somebody predicted about 4 years ago... funny, I started as a blues and rock-and-roll player but then drifted completely into jazz. Anyway, I'm glad for the chance to meet and exchange appreciations and information with a bunch of total strangers!

After the long absence from guitar I am no longer the technician I once was, but I don't want to go there again anyway. I now have fun exploring chords, tone, and composing and laying down a groove for others to play on.  Jazz, bossa nova, and now, again, blues.

Re: Hi there

Welcom here.

As I'm not a guitar player I wondered what Rick was talking about a cat ...
We have a 2002 Greek beach dog.

Wish you a lot of fun here.

Re: Hi there

Hi Myronoceros and welcome to the forum. smile

I'm also a rather new member, also quit playing guitar for 12 to 15 years (started again last summer) and one of my cats also seems to like it when I'm playing guitar.

Joe B. seems to have a special talent for reactivating guitar players or at least for bringing them back to the blues. I know the two of us are not the only ones in this forum...

Have fun - there's lots of really nice Joe fans here.

Pete, I do pass by that bin of bottles from time to time. They seem lonely.  tongue
