Hi Robbie.
Welcome to the Forum. What a way to kick off your listening pleasure with a lineup of stars. That should help thaw out the countryside up there. You'll have a good chance to meet quite a few fellow members there since it looks like they will show up in force.

Thanks Rick!  I am really hoping to see Joe collaborate with Eric, Doyle, Derek, or even Billy Gibbons or Jeff Beck at Crossroads.  My buddy and I have been trying to think up the most insane combos for song collaborations or guests and we are just geeking out at the chance to see so many great players in one day.

On St. Patty's we are driving to Minneapolis to see the Experience Hendrix tour with Billy Cox, Chris Layton, Eric Johnson, Doyle Bramhall II, Jonny Lang (from Fargo even though he doesn't admit it anymore. sad  ), Robert Randolph, Susan Tandeschi, Los Lobos and even more great players.  I feel like a spoiled brat getting to see such great musicians in such a short time.  Just a few weeks ago we saw Buddy Guy and B.B. King too play at the same venue!!!

Welcome Robbie!
I know Fargo pretty well, at least used to. Went to college in Moorhead and graduated a few years before you were born. My sister lives in Fargo - at least part time - so I've been up there since, most recently to see Joe at the Fargo Blues Fest in 2008.
I'm also going to Crossroads this year. We were there in '07 and it was great!
BTW, you must be about the same age as another Fargo native Shannon Curfman. Joe and Shannon are actually pretty good friends.

Hey thanks Lee!  I studied philosophy and jazz guitar at MSUM and I've been living here since 2004.  My family is from the east coast but we moved out here in 1994 because my dad was in the Air Force.  I live downtown and play out quite a bit in the area.  That is awesome that you were at the last Crossroads!  Maybe we'll see you down there!

I've never met Shannon or Jonny Lang, I have friends that went to school with both.  Jonny kind of dipped town and doesn't really associate himself with Fargo anymore, but Shannon is usually back 1-2 times a year.  I had a HUGE crush on her when I was in high school after seeing her in Guitar World....

Yeah I wanted to go to that Bluesfest and the clinic that Joe did at Marguerites Music the same day but I was in Boston at Fenway park that same night!  He was filling in for the late great Jeff Healey, and I would have killed to see Joe play at Neuman Outdoor.  I saw a video of him playing "High Water Everywhere" from that show and it sounded fantastic.  I'm trying to get on as an opening act this year for Walter Trout and David "HoneyBoy" Edwards.

Hey thanks Brack!  Glad to meet you from across the pond!

I see you have the DSOTM logo as your avatar, I had the pleasure of seeing Roger Waters perform that record in its entirety in 2007!  It was fantastic, he had Dave Kilmeister, Andy Fairweather-Low and the legendary, Snowy White playing with him on that tour.  It was absolutely phenomenal!

Thanks Robbie. I was lucky enough to see, touch, and read Pink Floyd's DSOTM contract, with signatures !! over at EMI in the 90's. A good friend worked there, and got me in, and gave me the tour!

Wow.  That is awesome!!! I have seen some memorabilia of the recording sessions at various places but nothing like that!!!  It's good to have friends in high places!!!

Jonny Lang (from Fargo even though he doesn't admit it anymore.

I saw Jonny this past monday night in Winnipeg, he opened for Buddy Guy. He at first said he felt like he was from Winnipeg but did admit he was from Fargo.  Same valley and same river runs thru both cities so what the heck smile

Right on, I bet that was a rad show.  Jonny is a bit of a sore subject around here because he's our biggest musical export and really never comes back here anymore.  We'll get a theatre show every couple years but thats about it.  Nice to hear that he will admit it from time to time!!
