Topic: Hello Fro Delaware

Hi, I've been a fan of My wife & I have been fans of Joe since way back in 2002. I 've been reading the forum almost daily for a year or so. Not knowing the first thing about guitars I haven't posted anything. Just a love of Joe  & the bands music. I may not know anything about guitars yet I know a great guitar player when I hear one.  We've seen Joe 3 times & will be seeing him 3 times in 8 days in April. Last August I met Roy Weisman in the parking lot at Penns Peak & asked him if he could give Joe & the guys some embroidered towels my wife made for each with their instrumen & name on it, which they loved. Roy invited us in for sound check & to meet Joe, what a thrill. My wife had made her own shirt with Joes gold top & name on it which Joe signed. Roy introduced us to Meliisa after the show because he liked liked some of her merch ideas, one of which was a calendar. Now looking forward to April.

Hoping to post more in the future,

Tim

Hi Hombre. You don't have to know zip about guitars to fit in here. Lots of  us, me included, are appreciative listeners. There is a contingent of players that hang out and chase Joe's sound but the rest of us don't hold that against them. tongue I got a lot smarter by following some of the gear threads myself. See you around.

Re: Hello Fro Delaware

Well, Hombre, my dad was born in Wilmington, but raised in W. Philly, I've lived all my life in MD but not far from DE.  There are quite a few of us die-hard Maryland fans....come on down 95 and hang out with us ;-0

Not looking promising at this moment.....have had some recent hits to my personal cashflow so I'm going to have to pass on this time through, would have more likely tried to hit Harrisburg (sold out :-/) or DC, as they are a bit closer.

Enjoy the front row....  cool

Re: Hello Fro Delaware

Welcome to the forum, Hombre.

We don't mind lurkers at all but it's always nice when one comes in and says Hi. I don't know too much about guitars either but, like you, I know when it sounds good.

Your wife sounds very talented smile

Re: Hello Fro Delaware

Thanks for the welcome Tripsy.

I lurked for awhile because I really didn't feel I would fit in not knowing anything about guitars, & not feeling I had anything to contribute. I've found everyone contributes in their own way.

Yes my wife is very talented, but she doesn't  seem to think so (maybe I'm a little predjudice) smile
