Topic: Hello from the Ruhrpott in Germany

Hello to everybody,

I'm hanging around in this forum quite a while now and before another year is over again without posting something ... I did what a lot of fans did the last days ...
Thanks to iTunes I noticed that someone called Joe Bonamassa could be something for me. And iTunes was absolutely right. I started with Sloe Gin and bought the rest of Joe's stuff too. That was in October 2007. In March 2008 I could convince my friend to see that man live in Bochum. My first concert ever and I'm not a teenager anymore! It goes without saying that it was the best concert to start with. Joe's music and the blues got me. lol
I'm an active concertgoer today and I hope that 2010 will be my Bonamassa year.
First tix for Rüdesheim and Bonn are booked and I hope there will be announced some more dates in Germany and the Netherlands.

I hope to see you someday somewhere

Hi Bibi and welcome.

2010 will be a GREAT Bonamassa year!

Since Germany seems to be Joe's favourite country you'll not be disappointed. Luckily i live near the border too big_smile And speak German big_smile I'm coming to Bonn too. The list for Bonn is growing every day. Maybe we'll arrange a pre-show meet somewhere it'll be in the Bonn-thread then i guess.
BTW nice try for fanclubname! I like the 'Forge'- twist cool

Re: Hello from the Ruhrpott in Germany

hallo Blues Sissi,

Herzlich Willkommen hier!

I can tell you there are more shows in Holland and Germany comming this year, so we will meet at a show for sure. Met already so many always very nice GermanJoefans at German shows and one blond "strange speaking"very nice woman from Maastricht. Met her in Koeln last year at the Rockpalastshow.
Guess who??

Re: Hello from the Ruhrpott in Germany

It's a very nice warm accent you have Suzanne, much better than mine, the Achterhoeks but who cares because music has no accents!!

Have a nice Sunday!

Re: Hello from the Ruhrpott in Germany

Welcome BluesSisi
I have very little German and what I have is bad, but we all speak Music. Seems like there will be quite a party in Bonn!
See you there. smile

Hi Bibi,

I could swear that I welcomed you, but there's no post. Still struggling with that new forum.
Your feeling is not so bad. Last year we met in Eindhoven to see Aynsley Lister.
And this year we'll see us first time in Eindhoven on 28 March to see Aynsley and next time we'll see us in Rüdesheim. As I heard you want to show all those Harley guys a real nice bike wink. I'll be in Rüdesheim to see Joe Bonamassa.

CU soon
Greetings from Ligho

Hello Szusanne,

Thanks for your welcome.
It's great that so many people from the forum will be in Bonn and I'm really looking forward to that day to meet you and some other Bonaddicted and to enjoy the 3 J's playing.
My Dutch is like zero though I spent countless weekends at the Ijsselmeer for windsurfing. I can order "een beer met patat" and if it's in front of me, I can say "bedankt" and "tot ziens".

So long

Hallo Andre,

auch dir vielen Dank für das herzliche Willkommen. Wir sind uns also schon fast über den Weg gelaufen, die Welt ist klein. Das Konzert in Bochum war klasse und ich habe das Ticket meines ersten Konzerts weggeschmissen sad

I was in Münster too and I met Stratovari at the end of the show. We waited there together, because he wanted his guitar signed and I my cd. I got my signature outside at the bus and I think Stratovari also got his signature. It was a magic evening. The band played as not from this world.

So far I met 2 real nice blues brothers from Maastricht in Ospel, one of them gave me a guitar pick from Joe, can't find words for that. And I met Bibi last year and so far she's my one and only Dutch blues sister. But it looks as if I'll meet a blond "strange speaking" but very nice woman from Maastricht this year.

It's good to hear that there are more shows in Germany and the Netherlands and I hope the dates will be announced soon and that I'm not on vacation then.

Re: Hello from the Ruhrpott in Germany

I'm halfway bying the bike. Test ride next saterday, so maybe not soon afterwards I'll let you know if we see eachother in Bonn also!

Right now I'm not bying any other festival  or concert tickets, 'cause the JB gigs might be at the same time...
So I'm very curous...... (and very patient, NOT hmm lol hmm)

Wish you a good ride and we'll see us in Bonn.  lol

Re: Hello from the Ruhrpott in Germany

Bought the bike yesterday! Very suitable for biking in Germany (it's one from a well know Bavarian Factory smile  ).
Asked Pete the Cabby for tickets.
Waiting for the answer.
So probably see you in Bonn!!!

big_smile That are great news, Bibi. See you in Bonn.
Have a lot of fun with your new "bimmer" and take care.
I looked that up: beemer, beamer, bimmer - slang for 'BMW' (Amer.) = der BMW

Good lookup. Bimmer is usually used to describe a bike, the others are for the car.

I think it's a funny word. Now we got 2 bimmers at home (Martin also has one).
Bye from "Bibi the Bimmer Biker"! (BB the BB, Bibi the BiBi, hahaha)

Re: Hello from the Ruhrpott in Germany

Hmmm....Blues Sissi Huh?  Glad to see you've taken the plunge on this site.  I definitely feel we are kindred spirits who share a passion for music of multiple genres.  I look forward to seeing more of what bands/artists interest you.
