Hi guys,
i just checked out the videos of Joes promoting his new albums on Spanish radios and he plays an acoustic Gibson, do you thin he has let yamaha for gibson??

I don't know I suppose it's possible but watching that video, that guitar probablly belonged to the radio station and Joe just borrowed it.
Hmm, had the same thought when I saw that... But yeah, might not mean a huge change, may be a one-off,, but over the past months, Joe has changed a few brands of guitar, we don't see him using Fender, Gigliotti, or Chandler much anymore... He now seems to be predominantly using Gibson and Music Man

Thats an old Century of Progress on the cover of Sloe Gin - wish I could find one without any cracks in the top... The one in the video looks new. He probably just strolled into a guitar store and decided to buy it lol.

I've got three guesses here:
1. He played it in a local shop and had to have it (flavor of the day)
2. It is a rental for playing in Europe
3. you could be right on leaving Yamaha?
Yamaha can make my motorcycles, and my snowmobiles/ATV's, but I feel wierd about playing a guitar that says yamaha on it. I know their PA stuff is supposed to be really good... but it's still uncomfortable that they make so many things.

Actually, Yamaha has been building musical instruments since 1887. They built their first motorcycle in 1954. So given that logic, you should feel more comfortable playing the Yamaha guitar, and weird riding the Yamaha motorcycle!
Yeah it sounds funny, but my Yamaha PA (small time) is a HUGE bang for the buck.

Bummer man, you're missing out...Yamaha makes some of the finest acoustic guitars out there, at least not in the unobtanium realm. I've owned some ridiculous high end acoustics, and found my higher end Yamaha dread to do just fine keeping up with them in all respects.

I've always been a harley guy myself, although when I was 16, I drove a Kawasaki. Now I'm missing out on two fronts!
