Topic: New Guy Here

I was unfamiliar with JB until I saw the Albert Hall DVD a couple of days ago. He really is a great player so I regret not getting into his music before now.

Anyway, just thought I'd say hello from JB's newest fan. smile

Re: New Guy Here

Welcome Baron, WYSIWYG and more at any live show. Sorry you weren't around when he was playing small shows like some of us were - just three years ago! Joe really is the real deal and thoroughly nice guy to boot. Very approachable throughout his climb to the top. As you saw from the DVD, he is a humble kind of guy that has put a tremendous amount of hard work into getting where he is today. Get yourself to a live show, whatever it costs, it will be worth it! Get near the front if you can - your jaw will be on the floor - I promise you!

Re: New Guy Here

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'd like to see a live show but it doesn't look like he's coming to Nashville this year.:(

Listening to CD's will have to do for now, I guess. What is considered to be his best album, so far?

Re: New Guy Here

Welcome to the forum Baron, what a great introduction to Joe you had. That concert was incredible. As for which cd is the best ....I suggest you just buy them all cos they are all fab. The new cd Black Rock will be out in March.

Re: New Guy Here

Hi Baron, I got into Joe just under a year ago, through hearing some of The Ballad Of John Henry on the Radio here in the UK. I now have all of his albums, and I like each and every one for different reasons. I saw my first live show last month, and it took me 4 or 5 songs before I could lift my chin off of the floor. Joe live is an unforgettable and life changing experience (I kid you not). Buy all of the albums, all of the DVDs and go to as many shows as you can.

My name is Jon and I'm a Bonamaddict (I'm sure I've admitted that once or twice before)

Welcome to the forum, and happy posting.
