It's really old ZZ Top, before the beards, before Tres Hombres, as a matter of fact. Type in "early ZZ Top" in Google and the picture comes up as one of the first few. Although I will say it is very interesting that Joe and Billy share a similar look. hmm smile

So you're telling me that Joe is a clone of a young, beardless Rev. Willy G??? Well &*%$ me to tears! I don't think I've ever seen them beardless.

A world has just collapsed for me. sad

I smell a setup!  's ok though.  Wow, that is an old one.  The beards, excepting Frank, came later Amsterhammer. I have an ongoing joke with my younger cousin that I taught them how to grow beards in the great year of '77.  They had nominal ones at the time, I was neanderthalic! Theirs came in around Deguello's time line, I believe.  I think they had grown them separately & unknowningly to each other during an extended break from playing & recording (I hated that wait) and found full aquello barbas locas was the pair per diem par for the course ahead...
I don't see any resemblance to Joe Bonamassa really, in looks, "licks" aside...although this side view certainly has it quite a bit.
