Re: Hello from Germany

Welcome to Joe's forum Felix. You have impecable taste. You will find a whole bunch of people on here from all over. They are a great bunch and I have formed many friendships as a result of contacts made here and at Joe gigs. If you haven't seen Joe live you are in for a real treat -  one of the few artists who are even better live than on their recordings. What more could you ask? Have fun!

Re: Hello from Germany

Hi, Geoff!

I haven't seen Joe live yet. But I'm very impressed by the Royal Albert Hall DVD! I watch it again and again. I like the sound, the songs, the band members of Joe. Just fun to watch!

A couple of months ago, I think, Joe was in Germany for a few concerts but I wasn't able to attend one.
I hope he'll come back soon, so I can see him live.

Ah, one question. Is Joe online himself sometimes?

Re: Hello from Germany

Hi Felix, welcome in the Forum. I´m sure that Joe will be in Germany latest in early summer. And he´s sometimes online. Woher in Deutschland kommst Du?

Re: Hello from Germany

Hi, Guenter!
Ich komm aus Albstadt. Nähe Balingen (Bang Your Head Festival).

I hope he's coming to Stuttgart. That would be great.
It would be good for you too, right? Nürnberg is not that far away from Stuttgart.

Re: Hello from Germany

Welcome to Joe's forum Motorhead.

With your taste in music I'm sure you'll fit in very well here.

Have fun.....Tripsy smile

Re: Hello from Germany

Welcome Motorhead. I'm afraid you're going to have to learn to travel to see Joe. I'm not saying he won't come to a venue near you, but he's gone global! Heck, Guenter came to my home this summer for a show. Start saving your Euros now! NOTHING beats a live show!  Cathy

Re: Hello from Germany

In july he's coming to Switzerland. I have to think about that....

I´m sure that he´ll be in Germany before. But - as Cathy says- sometimes it might be worth to travel a bit, especially if you can see Derek Trucks, Devon Allman and The Allman Brothers, too.

Günter

By the way: I´m quite often in Stuttgart, and I saw a lot of good shows there this year. 2010 there will be Henrik Freischlader, Ainsley Lister and Carl Verheyen in Leonberg (Uhlenspiegel), Miller Anderson and Freischlager (Laboratorium) and James Blood Ulmer (Bix) in Stuttgart.

Re: Hello from Germany

Hi Felix,

Welcome to the forum ... good to see another member of the "German clan" here! We´re not all too many, but we´re here. big_smile

You won´t have to make the trip to Switzerland, I´m sure Joe will be back sometime next year - just wait for some more tour dates to pop up on the tour page. They have been in Germany quite often in 2009 and they´re sure to return in 2010. smile And as Cathy says - nothing beats a live show. You´ll love it!

Look forward to meeting you at one of those shows - you have a good taste in music! wink

Eva

Re: Hello from Germany

Hi Felix. Don't worry about dates in Germany as Eva says. Joe has toured there every year lately. The German clan is small but mighty. I am a temporary member from time to time. (visiting my German grandchildren smile ) Rick

Re: Hello from Germany

I´m from Nürnberg as well - Günter is my dad. smile

My grandma lives near Stuttgart though - so I guess we´ll meet at one of the shows in that area!
Joe played in Winterbach with Steve Winwood last summer and he just played in Mannheim a month ago.

Schau einfach mal vor den Shows ins Forum - wir machen meistens einen Treffpunkt aus und gehen noch zusammen was trinken oder sowas. smile

Re: Hello from Germany

Welcome Motorhead,

nice taste of music, I love all the bands you name, esp. the Zakk Wylde stuff, like Black Label Society

Joe posts sometimes on this forum, I think mostly in Guitar/Amps/Gear threads

Auf wiedersehen

Re: Hello from Germany

Thank you, thank you!

Die Toten Hosen sind nicht so mein Ding. Böhse Onkelz und Ärzte mag ich aber auch nicht.

Than I hope that Joe's coming to Germany soon.
