Topic: Hello from South Dakota.

I've been lurking for a few months after really getting into Joe's stuff. I have the RAH DVD and a CD (Either You & Me or LFNWIP) under the Christmas tree right now, and have bought a few tracks from iTunes as well.

I'm an 18 year old blues-rock guitar player. Been playing since I was 12 and i'm self taught. I come from rural South Dakota, and hope to really get into the blues scene in S.D. soon.

My rig (right now anyways) is an Epiphone Les Paul with upgraded caps (Auricaps) into a Peavey Classic 30 combo with the speaker out into an Avatar Traditional 4x12. I have my MXR Carbon Copy in the loop, and currently the only pedal on my board. I also use a Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster, a Fender and Yamaha acoustics, and an Orange Tiny Terror from time to time. I'm currently building a 5E3 Tweed Deluxe clone. I was already talkin' to you and answered my own presumption-you ARE a teenager! Welcome 'round here.  Don't mind? Heck we've been waitin' for you! Talk you gear head off in Joe's Guitars, Amps, & Gear, say something Joe-ffical or just have a query /comment in General Topics, Other Artists are in their own section, people fib about listening to a song (sometimes) in one of the longest threads we have there "What song are you listening to right now".  It's sometimes a gentle "push to get you to listen omni-directionally. With me it's always right now, and I leave a lot of the Joe songs off because, well it's just too often.  Join the Prairie Team, I mean Street Team too!

And yes, I have been to North Dakota...more than once.

Just another dyslexia moment.  I have been to South Dakota....more than twice.  But the North doesn't blow, the wind does though!

Ahh, young'ins! Like Rocket said, we've been waiting for you. Don't get me wrong, we've been quite comfortable having Joe to our "mature" selves, but at the same time worried about the future of BluesRock. Not any more. There's been an influx of younger fans, esp. young guitar players, in the last year. Bravo for finding Joe and having the ear to know how special his talent is! I hope your chair is comfy and you visit often.     Cathy
