Topic: I made a mod to my Strat

I have a Stratocaster that for about a year I've had a master volume and a master tone control the second control is a dummy baiscally.  So I decided to do something with it.  So I decided I would use it as a Blend control.  Now I can blend in the neck pickup with the other 2 pickups with as much power as I want.  It sound really cool with all three pickups on but what I think is really cool is that the neck pickup normal uses the master tone control, but when I mix it with say the bridge the neck is not running though the master tone only the bridge at that point.  So I can get a much edgier sound then say a Strat with a on off swith to turn on the pickup.  I thought it was cool anyways.  Now at least I can say it does something rather then say its a dummy!

That's a great Mod!

    I also modify the electronics on my main Stratocaster. It's Master Volume/Master Tone/Master Mid-Cut.
    The Mid-Cut allows me to get a similar Timbre to an Acoustic-Electric. So, I find it very useful when covering things that may sound better with A?E. Not quite the same, but pretty convincing.
    It also allows me to really have some extra control over the OD Tones. As the Mids are so important in varying Tones.

I thought about wiring it like a 50's Gibson have or anybody tried that to a strat?  I heard its supposed to make a big difference.
