Topic: Greetings! Another one discovers!

Hello! My name is Brandon Herges, a 15 year old from the St. Louis area. I've played guitar for about 6 years, the first five of those were lessons, at which point I lost interest. Here these past few months I've gotten back into things, and I've probably learned more as far as developing my own style goes through improv and learning a variety of blues artists. I used to be one of those who just liked basic classic rock with just the bland chord progressions, but I randomly exploded into the blues one day. I took a strong interest in Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, BB, Albert, and Freddie King, etc. Just last week when I took my guitar in to get some fine tuning and new .11 gauges while I was at it, my old guitar teacher was talking up this "Bonamassa" guy, and naturally I had to check him out. Thank god I did! I must say, he is the best there is right now! I didn't realize how many great guitarists still performed these days! Anyways, enough rambling tongue Joe just seems to have it, and some day, I'd love to have that level of ability (But I guess that's just a dream big_smile) Anyways, hoping to learn a ton on this site! Expect tons of posts from me! big_smile

Hey man, it sounds like you've been bitten just like all of us lol It's nice to have someone younger than me here! I'm 16, from Colorado. Hope you get a chance to see him live soon.... it's unbelievable and if you think he's god now.... just wait until you see him up close. Ask some questions on the gear page and joe will make an appearance if you're lucky wink

Welcome to the boards, hope ya like it here. <waves at ya from across the pond> can ya see me?

Anyways enjoy your stay here. I like you, up until early this year was very much a rocker (I don't play, just listen) but Joe changed that for me. I'm now finding out that I actually like a lot of Blues music, and my ears have been opened to many more great musicians and bands. I've missed out on so much, but I'm making up for lost time wink

You will be surprised, I think you are already, how great this forum is.
You will read  a lot about  others fans,  bands, gear, people, music and of course Joe and band and staff

They will all help you with any question you have and will all read your stories as well. Joe himself does that too.
