Topic: Hi Everyone

Hi everyone

I've already done a bit of posting but i figured i should still introduce myself;

My names Adam Young, I'm 16, i live in Newcastle upon Tyne which is in the north east of England, played guitar for about 3 years now. I liked Joe for a bout a year around the release of Live From Nowhere In Particular. But when The Ballad Of John Henry was released all that changed from then on i fell in love with his style, his playing, basically who he is. I then saw him at the Sage music centre in Gateshead. He blew me away. He came on dressed in all white on a black stage he looked like a god. I made a decision that he was my idol in-fact my hero. Since that gig ive never been the same, i used to play my guitar down at my knees but i pulled it way up after watching Joe. I spend hours everyday mastering a new song of his albums and rewinding all the licks on the Royal Albert Hall dvd until i can nail them. I listened to Joe at the start of the dvd carefully "I don't want a real job, I want to be a guitar player and i want to play the Royal Albert Hall" well thats it, the story of my life, I'm going to try as hard as i possibly can. In the words of Steve Perry: "some will win, some will lose, some are born to sing the blues" I can only hope that when i see him at the Leeds Academy on the 3rd of December that Joe will once again blow me away, in-fact I know he will. i'll be the first one in the queue to get it and fight at the front when he comes on.

Well thats my life story, I just thought i would take this moment to thank Joe for really inspiring me and giving me that bit of hope that anyone can do it you've just gotta try and really put your heart into it.

Thank You Joe Bonamassa
Adam Young

Re: Hi Everyone

Hi Adam and welcome to the forum. I'm very happy to hear that Joe is such an inspiration to you, like so many others. You couldn't have picked a better role model!
I was at the Sage in April and it was brilliant indeed. I will also be at Leeds on thursday and if you bump into a middle-aged woman jostling for a position at the front ......it'll be me! lol

Hope to meet you there, Adam.......Tripsy smile

Re: Hi Everyone

Congratulations Adam! Welcome! You couldn't have picked a better role model. Joe is priceless as a personality, a player, but most of all as a person. In fact he is surrounded by a great team of exceptional people. Like Tripsy, I'm sure we'll meet at the front of the queue, but that depends what time you are prepared to start queuing!!!! Bet you 20p Sue and I are in front of you and Tripsy! LOL
