Topic: Ancienne Belgique, Brussels, Nov 25th
Well, I don't know where to begin, there's so much to say...
I decided to be there early so I could maybe come across Joe near the venue. But I didn't know I would actually go inside and meet him (Yes, Joe, that's what we call a meet and greet). It was a bit awkward at first but I felt more confident as the time went by, I even risked a joke about Belgian beers (I hope it wasn't too bad, I didn't really know what I was saying ). There were also other people from this forum, and it was a pleasure to meet them.
Now, the show itself: fantastic, wonderful, marvelous, etc. (I miss superlatives)
I was in first row and I made some pics, I will upload them tomorrow 'cause I feel a bit tired now (it's 2:30 in the morning here). I also made some videos but the sound is crappy, really crappy. I think it was too loud for my phone's mic.
I managed to get the setlist that was lying at Joe's feet so you'll know what he played, don't worry!
And here it is:
The Ballad of John Henry
Last Kiss
So Many Roads
So It's Like That
If Heartaches Were Nickels
Further On Up The Road
Sloe Gin
Lonesome Road Blues
Happier Times
Had To Cry Today
Bridge To Better Days
The Great Flood
Woke Up Dreaming (stunning!)
Mountain Time
- Encore -
Ball Peen Hammer (with the sweet MusicMan double-neck 12/6)
Jus Got Paid (they forgot a "t" on the setlist)
Ok, I couldn't wait, here are some pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/plutux/set … 877583832/
I made more but they aren't good at all...
And here's a video of Woke Up Dreaming (not the full song, sorry): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsuHy8FJQZM
