Hey thanks, Roy.  MsTia asked me this morning, "So when and where are you guys playing again?"  I did a double take.  She's rather unaffected by most of my BS, but when I asked why, she told me that we were tight and that was the best band yet...about time.  My kids agreed and I was impressed.

Susan and Ken were there.  I told them I hand picked this bunch.  It's incredibly hard to get musicians (not just players) together.

We'll see!  Got's to get mo work!

Ditto!!!  I want close-ups!!!  And I don't mean of the lady who was ???pickin' up after her dog??? in front of the camera!!!  Do I have to fly to Florida to witness this greatness in person??!!!

My mother in law, who has a bit of air between her ears.  lol   My son didn't yell at her cause the mic was right there.  At first I was purple mad when i saw it, then I just fell out laughing.

Susan and I were there and Big Jeff really lived up to his name! There was some extremely funky blues going down at Fishstock, with a rock bottom rhythm section driving the whole show. A very good time! Keep us up to date with any more gigs.

I have a whole new band.  The deaf drummer and I have pulled in a singer/harp/keys player.  My poor old guitar protege self destructed and the singer called in a guy from the local jams.  He was a good player, but something was strange.

So I went on his myspace shrine and I see his influences are Zak Wilde & Vai & Satriani.  hmmmm All killer g-men but not what I was looking for exactly.  I have work, so I booked a slickie quickie locally.  We had one rehearsal, the poor guy's father died and he's outa here. *uses foul language while banging head on wall*  OK... like the Divine MsTia says, "Everything happens for a reason."

So through a convoluted series of events, my phone rings yesterday PM and I'm on the phone with a guitar player/singer who has all the same heros I do.  He almost drove his car off the road when he mentioned someone and I told him I have all his CDs and want to do this or that tune of his.

So he's coming tonight for one rehearsal before the gig.  We will then do this gig (3 sets) with a band that has never played together before and one quickie rehearsal, which SeanBoy will film.  NO FEAR!

BTW I asked around a little bit and it turns out folks (the ones that still talk to me) tell me this guy is a player and a musician!  I guess he must've asked around a little before he called me, because he said something like, "You finally got to me.  I'm stoked"  before he hung up.

He knows who Joe Bonamassa is.  He knows who Melvin Taylor, Lucky Peterson, Ronnie Earl, Duke Robillard and Robben Ford are.  Dare I hope?

I AM tickled to death!  Rehearsal went scary good.  30 songs in 3 hours.  I only stopped one of the tunes to restart and it was my mistake.  The singer bought a different keys player and we just smoked my poor lil AC unit.
