Topic: Greetings & Salutations

Hi everyone,

I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Jon, I live in Kings Lynn, in the UK, and since hearing Feeling Good on Planet Rock earlier this year (the very first Joe song I'd ever heard) I am undoubtedly a Joe addict. I have already joined the Street Team, and have approached several venues in my area trying to get Joe to come here. I'm going to my first Joe show in 3 weeks (can't wait), and I have even taken a voluntary job on an internet radio station, purely so I can play Joe's music on my very own show \o/ (www.blastradio.co.uk 19:00GMT Sunday evenings). My first show is going out live this Sunday 15th November. I now have every album that Joe has recorded, and the 3 DVD's. I was also lucky enough to be chosen to host one of the RAH Launch Parties (truly an honour) and I must say that the RAH DVD exceeded any expectations, it's simply STUNNING, and made the upcoming show I'm going to even more of an exciting prospect (which I hadn't actually thought was possible), and I have made it a personal mission to get Joe's music out to as many people as I can. This guy should be a freakin superstar wink

Thanks for everything Joe, but most of all, thanks for being you cool

Jon

PS: Loved the pics of Lindsay and Michael's wedding, they make a teriffic couple, and I wish them all the happiness in the world.

Re: Greetings & Salutations

Welcome Jon! Nice intro, we all understand where you're coming from. I don't know why the usual 'greeters' have been so slow to greet you, we're usually friendlier than that. I can only guess that it might be something to do with your very unusual user name. big_smile

If you stick around and become a regular poster, people will probably wind up just calling you 'dog'. wink

RIP Iron Man

Re: Greetings & Salutations

Welcome Jon, it really it amazing that folk are only just awakening to Joe's music. The fact that he doesn't get played on mainstream radio is the reason for that I guess. All he needs is a really commercial track that he can release as a single (Sorry Joe purists - but that would lift him to the next level) Good PR and record of the week on one of the UK's daily shows on Radio 2 would just do the trick nicely. As Joe has said himself on many occasions, he is "in the entertainment business" , he can cut it with the rest. What do you think endeares Eric Clapton to the masses - the fact he plays music we can all relate to, across musical genres - Joe can do that - watch and see!

Good to see you on here you will enjoy the company we keep - great crowd, hope to see you at one of the upcoming UK gigs!

Hi Tripsy,

My very first show went really well, and thanks for the welcome (it must have gone well cuz they said I can do it again next week lol) I do requests so if ya want anything in particular played, drop me a mail at jono@blastradio.co.uk but don't ask for India/Mountain Time cuz I played that on tonight's show wink anything else goes tho but I think that 10 mins is the maximum I'd go to at the moment seein as I only doin a 1 hour show while am on probation, soon as I get me tag off I'll be more adventurous lol
