Topic: Another Aussie intro

G'day All,

Yes, another Australian introducing himself.  I've been a JB fan for awhile just too lazy to activate myself I guess.

Was streaming a local community radio station on my computer tonight and heard the presenter say JB was coming out next year.  "Whoa!!" I think as I'm sitting here wearing my JB Live at RAH T-shirt (how sad does that sound for a 50+ old man??).  Anyway, Google tells me he's coming out for Bluesfest 2010.  What a gig THAT will be - Jeff Beck, Lyle Lovett, Crowded House, Gipsy Kings, Buddy Guy, JB of course and more (see http://www.bluesfest.com.au/  ).

So I figured I've gotta get active and start the push to get Joe to come on down to Melbourne town.   After all, my own station, 3WBC, have been hot to promote Joe's music in Melbourne's inner east (listen to Pete Allen's "Comfortably Numb" show on Thursday nights - 94.1FM).

Joe - if you're reading this just give Sydney the cold shoulder mate and come on down to a city that seriously appreciates serious blues muso's.    Use us as warm up for the Bluesfest - we don't mind.  Hey, I'll even fire up the barbie and slip on an extra snag for you!! (translation provided on arrival).

Cheers all.

Peter C.

So much Blues, So little time...

Re: Another Aussie intro

Hi Peter and welcome to Joe's forum.

You must be sooooo excited to finally get Joe and the boys down under! You are going to have the time of your life.
Hope you'll tell us all about it....and don't worry....no one here will think it sad to be wearing that fine t shirt even at your ripe old age haha smile  There is no age boundaries where Joe is concerned!

By the way it's great to hear that you've been playing Joe and helping to spread the word. Is your station available on the internet?

Tripsy smile
