Topic: Derek Trucks Band in Stroudsburg PA 11/4

I wanted to point out this show, incase Stroudsburg PA is feasible for anyone here.  The Derek Trucks Band is playing the Sherman Theatre on Wed 11/4.  Here's a show link for more details:

As as added bonus, the opener is going to be MiZ... I caught them a few weeks ago and REALLY dig them.  Not blues per se, but there's a little bit of everything in there.  Mike Miz is just a great musician, songwriter, lyricist... originals that stay with you... nice choice of covers too.

I'm bumping this incase anybody missed it.  I just saw Mike Miz (solo acoustic) again last night in Carlisle and was reminded of how much I enjoy him.  Looking forward to seeing the full band MiZ again too, and this Derek Trucks show might be my best chance.  I thoroughly enjoyed Derek Trucks at HAB this summer... didn't think I'd be catching him again this soon, but why the hell not?  LOL  Still trying to work out some details though.  Anyone else here considering this show?  Or doesn't anyone here live in the right area?

And one more bump, since the show is only 2 days away.  Nobody here is going?  I'm still trying to decide myself... really shouldn't spend the money or the gas... but something keeps telling me "fukk it, just go"... lol... tongue

That's the problem... it's not exactly near me, it's 2 hours away.  Not to mention there's no way for me to get on the guestlist or anything for this show.  Yesterday, sometime after my post, I had kinda ruled it out for financial reasons.  After all I did see Derek once this summer, and I get lots of opportunities to see MiZ for free or cheap (gonna see them right here in Harrisburg on 11/21)... I should be happy with that.  Today I'm rethinking again... roll tongue

Hey Vikki - I hope you decided to go tonite - DTB just announced that they are taking next year off sad, so it will be a long time before this chance comes up again.

That's a shame but thanks for letting us know Sandy. Seeing the Derek Trucks Band in April was one of the highlights of 2009 for me and I was really hoping for a another tour next year. Oh well sad
