Re: Hi from Sydney Australia

Welcome indeed Jon.  It's always nice when someone takes the time out to introduce themselves especially after a post like your first one!

I haven't the foggiest idea about your gear and what it all means but there are plenty of people on this forum who will so you'll probably hang out a lot in the Gear section.  The main thing is you've found Joe and you're a fan.  I hope Joe makes it to Oz for you one day, but in the meantime enjoy Live at the RAH.

Re: Hi from Sydney Australia

Welcome to the forum Jon.

I, like Lynn, don't know much about all that gear head stuff but I'm sure it sounds great!

I think Australia will be the next continent for Joe to conquer wink

Re: Hi from Sydney Australia

Welcome to the forum guitarnoize. Bet you can't wait for Joe and the boys to head your way. Should be next year if my guess is correct. Rick Mellick, Joe's excellent keyboard player is from your neck of the woods in Oz.
My son, his wife and their two lovely girls now live in Brisbane and are so looking forward to Joe visiting their area, so I guess a tour of the major cities will be on the cards. I don't know the logistics involved but the distances that will need to be covered in Oz to get to the major cities might involve a fly-away plan, which usually means that the they use hired amps, PA and speakers in the location, transporting only essential guitars, keyboards and cymbals. Joe is renouned for his quality tone and precision set up. I wouldn't worry about going to a fly away gig - he made the Manchester Academy 1 show last year as a fly away using hired gear and it was quite honestly the best Joe Show I had seen or heard up until then - it was our 15th! You will enjoy it here, a great bunch of people!
