Topic: Hello from Virginia

Hi, I've been listening to Joe for almost 2 years.  I first came across his music on itunes where I listened to samples from Shepard's Bush.  In particular Just Got Paid where Joe breaks in to the Daze and Confused solo.  Being a huge Jimmy Page/Zeppelin fan, I was hooked!  Tea for One, doubly hooked!   I was fortunate to see him at the Birchmere, a very intimate venue, in June of 08.  I had tickets this last March for another show at the Birchmere, but had the flu so I wasn't able to make it.  Fortunately I was able to see him at the Hot August Blues festival.  I just recently got tix to see him in April of next year, 2nd row, can't wait!  In the mean time I'll just have to jam out to his forthcoming DVD.  I'm also back and forth on getting one of the JB Les Paul, sure looks nice!

Hi Jim and welcome to the forum. 

Glad you've found Joe and us.  Next April seems a long time to wait to see Joe again so I recommend a big dose of Live at the Royal Albert Hall at regular intervals until then.  One or two people on the forum have already got themselves one of those JB Les Pauls so you'll be in good company, if a little poorer!

As it happens.... big_smile A number of us here were at the Birchmere last year, but not this year. An even larger number of us here were at HAB (try searching on that), and some of us will also be seeing Joe again in that neck of the woods next April. Depending on when and where, we might be sitting next to you. tongue

It's a small world sometimes.
