Topic: Hello from Israel

Just wanted to introduce myself and say what a pleasant and interesting place this is for all us Joe B nuts out there.

I'm joining the forum because I think I'm dangerously close to becoming totally obsessed with Joe and have worn down all my family, friends and pupils with my constant rambling on about his awesomeness!! So I thought that I'd give them a little rest and come on over here instead, where hopefully people won't ask me to change the subject!

I  hear LOTS of guitarists, and because I'm a guitar teacher and practicing musician, I also have a pretty good understanding of what it is I'm hearing.  I have never heard ANYONE quite like Joe.  There are many, many amazing musicians out there but no one has managed to communicate with me quite as well as Joe does. He just pulls at my heart every time he plays or sings and manages to inspire me so much every day that for me, he is quite incomparable. Not since I began studying Bach many years ago, has someone had that effect on me.

Any way, that's why I (and probably a lot of people) love Joe so very much - he's an amazing communicator.

Looking forward to hanging out with what seems to be a really nice crowd and waiting patiently for my hero to come and play in Israel where he has a lot fans......

Welcome to the forum Lipman - I'm sure you'll feel at home here and you'll find many like-minded souls.

Glad to hear you're spreading the word about Joe to friends and family and especially your pupils. Get 'em young I say big_smile It's good to hear Joe has lots of fans in Israel too.

Yes I'm constantly spreading the word about Joe and the response is nearly always the same - first the jaw drops to the floor, then it's: "why haven't I heard of this guy before?" 

At the moment I'm managing to get at least one person a week to see the light!

Welcome to this forum from a newbie (from the Netherlands) too. Your introduction is quite impressive, would have wanted to be able to describe the 'Joe'-feeling in your exact words myself.... Enjoy!

Dont know about Joe going to Israel yet/soon but he's in Italy later this year, maybe that's something to think about

What a warm welcome, cheers everyone.:)

I'd have no problem going to Italy to see Joe but my wife is going to be pretty heavily pregnant by then and I not don't want to leave her, even for a couple of days.

I am a patient man. I shall wait for my son to be born and then be on the next plane to the nearest JB gig - where ever that may be - with them and a load of other people with me and we'll make a holiday of it, it'll be great!
Well, that's my plan anyway. Just need to convince said wife, child and 'other people' that it is their plan too and all will be well.:D
This is assuming of course, that Joe doesn't get here first...( Joe? Are you there? You know you want to come here. You know it makes sense. Look into my eyes, you are feeling drowsy....you want to come here, it's the only sensible thing to do.....)

Hello from me too Lipman and welcome to the forum! Hey, without even realizing it, you're doing exactly what we do for Joe's Street Team. Talking to people about Joe is great, but a very wise person once told me, "Get Joe's music in their hands and the rest will take care of itself." That's one of the most truthful things I've ever heard. smile

WARNING..there is no limit to how far Joe fans will go for a show. Once you've been Bonabaptised the need for more will grab you!! AND, we will encourage you to throw good judgement out the door!
