Ricjunkie-I never owned any BeeGees until John Travolta started shaking things up.
I think I never acquired a taste for the high-pitched vocals previously, but then my hubby went thru a stage where he played & sang Bee Gees on his guitar, like New York Mining Disaster. I Started A Joke, etc....that all led to a different appreciation. I owned every Genesis album on vinyl pre- Phil Collins and once met Peter Gabriel in a hotel lobby after a show. My oldest son is a prog-lover, his last purchase to complete his Genesis collection was Foxtrot, so its interesting how I've been listening to them again, along with YES. I never owned Time and A Word, will check to see if my son has it.
Roy-my in-laws threw out all good stuff, like cool old posters etc, but saved 2 of my hubby's leisure suits...just priceless laughter with the kids.
I hung out in discos in between boyfriends, talk about looking for love in all the wrong places, that's why I took up dancing...
And to bring it back to Kayne...I had a disturbing thought of a reverse situation...what if a male country artist grabbed the mic from Beyonce to rant about Taylor...yeah disturbing. I haven't watched MTV in a really long time, but I don't think anyone planned Kayne's spectacle.
RICjunkie wrote:Oh, and Angela I do have a "soft" side. I really liked the Steve Hackett era Genesis stuff and the early Yes material is killer. Have you ever listened to their album "Time and a Word"?
Roy - musta been the residual formaldehyde in those polyester leisure suits. "Leisure suit Roy"?
Oh and I dated a couple of Wisconsin women. They were both psycho. Could explain the hanging around the disco joints thing.
Now we're wayyyyy off topic. Think the mods may shut this one down...
