Topic: Change of user name

I have changed my name from Eva´s dad to Guenter. I didn´t manage to log in with my old name in America and in Asia. Maybe it has to do with the"´" in "Eva´s Dad". To prevent similar difficulties with "Günter", I take the international spelling, "Guenter".
Of course I stay Eva´s dad whole-heartedly.

Re: Change of user name

Günter,

The name "Guenter" looks like it is misspelled to me. wink

Gee, Günter, Guenter, Eva's Dad; you sure go by a lot of names my friend. big_smile

I guess maybe I should change my name to Roger? (Inside joke lol )

Re: Change of user name

I was going to tack this question on to some other topic, until I discovered this. wink

I think I know what it was. I bet every one of those failed logins was on a different keyboard to the one you use at home. Right? I'm almost certain that it's something as small and ridiculous as the different shape of the apostrophe - ' - in "Eva's Dad". The German apostrophe has an ever so slightly different shape.

Typical. big_smile

Guenter works for me. Or even Günter.

Indeed I´ve never had problems on any German computer.
As long as the Germans are special only with the shape of their ´we should be happy.

Hi Guenter, welcome to the Joe Bonamassa Official Message Board.  You sound like an interesting fellow!

P.S.- I'm wondering why I didn't recommend a simple copy and past of your screen name into the login box.........NOW I think of it!  I once had login problems myself, and gave in to a name change.  Do a search of posts by Demonsterastratofixation (jeepers I hope I spelled it right!  It was long and ridiculous because I was so darn frustrated using the change password function, never figured out what the heck was going on-someone or something jamming me-STOP jammin' me!) and see if you recognize me!  All I had to do was ask for a little help to get the Rocket back on the launch pad.   Asking for help...what a concept hmm

Re: Change of user name

As you noticed already GuEnter, I always use the E , there is no Umlaut on Dutch computers. I asked the lovely Lynnelle some  weeks ago about using the E instead of the Umlaut as I learned at highschool 42 years ago. She said it is still in Ordnung!!

By the way Gunter, Guenter or Umlautgunter you're always be ;

a great Bonabuddy
Eva's dad
a very nice person

and a GERMAN.........

So very in Ordnung to me!

Re: Change of user name

I try to welcome everyone to the forum when I have the time, so WELCOME Guenter.
Shame Eva's dad has left though.

Did you know him ?

I met him at the RAH thingy.
Nice bloke.

Re: Change of user name

Re: Change of user name
