Topic: Hi From Glasgow

Hi Guys,

I can't believe i've not come accross this site before now, What a bunch of guys, fans from everywhere, fantastic, JB deserves such a following, I saw him for the first time in March in the Academy and was blown away, he's charasmatic and an amazing guitarist, I can't wait until December to see him in the Edinburgh Picturehouse, have got my tickets, room booked and there are six of us going instead of just myself like it was in Glasgow, his following & appeal appears to be growing all the time, maybe in a couple of years he'll be playing places like Hampden Park, What a gig that would be........

who is going to the Edinburgh Gig on 5th Dec?

Good to meet you all

You have what I think is the best guitar shop in the country in Glasgow - Guitar Guitar on Trongate.

Re: Hi From Glasgow

Welcome to the forum Scaramouche. I know that there will definitely be some other forum members at the Edinburgh show. I am going to the Leeds Academy show, it's a lot nearer home for me. Edinburgh is a wonderful city and you're going to have a great time. It seems a long way off now but it'll soon come around.

Hi Scaramouche,
Just introduced myself on the newbie topics list. I would really want to go to edinburgh, Ryanair has a special offer so flying from the Netherlands to Edinburgh on the 5th would cost only 20 pounds. Only thing is I don't have a place to stay. Would you have suggestions since you've booked already and seem to know your way around Scotland? Thanks, Suzanne

HI Suzanne. There's a Premier Inn about 10 minutes walk from the venue that's probably about the most economical. It's also well placed for the city centre in general. The contact details for it are: Premier Inn, 82 Lauriston Place, Edinburgh. Phone  0870 990 6610. Not sure if you'll have to put the UKdialling code in front of that. Best of luck.

Re: Hi From Glasgow

Wlecome to the forum, I hope to be at Edinburgh too (although I do need another ticket). if you are planning to come over Suzanne, make sure you have a ticket first as they are no longer on sale.

Thanks for the warning Greenose, very considerate of you!
I noticed is was sold out, good for Joe but not for me.  I'm considering  buying from people who are not going and are offering their tickets. For twice the price! That's why i'm hesitating a bit, with planeticket, hotel and all that. And leaving hubbie and kids again, as i defenitely will be going to amsterdam too. After I've cleared the domestic side of it all I'll post to let you know. roll

And BBJ: thanks for the address! Just what i was looking for.
