Topic: Hello from Oslo and Notodden

Hello everyone! I'm a newbie both as an admirer of JB's musical powers and as a member of this forum. Still I am no newbie to the world of electric guitars; I have seen people like Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Jeff Healey, John McLaughlin, Joe Satriani and John Scofield, to mention a few. My introduction to the world of JB took place at the Notodden Blues Festival only a couple of weeks ago and left no doubt whatsoever that he's clearly in the same league as the musicians mentioned above. The two concerts at Notodden were so much more than I had expected. Six months ago I didn't know who he was and in the meantime I have barely had time to aquaint myself with his albums. So seeing him live for the first time, I was totally blown away and pretty close to some serious jaw damage smile Quite frankly I haven't really landed yet. Like any other addict trying to avoid any serious withdrawal symptoms, I can see only one solution: MORE! Consequently I have just made plans for my own Bonamassa festival in Ireland by early December. Three concerts in five days!!! big_smile
If there are any Norwegian Bonamassa fiends who read this, please leave a message. I hope to raise a storm of some kind to bring the man back to Norway and may need some assistance:)
All the best to y'all from
Martin in Oslo

Re: Hello from Oslo and Notodden

Hi Martin, still not landed yet, haha.
You definitely have good taste in music and yes Joe is up there with the best of them smile
Wow....all three dates in Ireland. That'll be fantastic. I know there are a few Bonabuddies in Ireland....keep your eye out for posts nearer the time, I'm sure you will get the chance to meet up with them.
I'm not sure if there are any forum members in Norway...you might be the first. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong tongue

Anyway, Martin, enjoy yourself here and look in often

Tripsy smile
