Re: Buddy Whitt, Aynsley, Oli, Siegal, JST, Gwyn Ashton, Yardbirds - £20!!

Ok, this is still pretty theoretical.....BUT.....if two old folks were to fly into Birmingham airport on the Saturday, could any of you kind folks going to this very attractive line-up maybe pick up and mind said old folks and get them back to the airport on Sunday?

It's probably a big ask, just covering the bases..... wink

I think Martin said he would, we'd need to try and coordinate landings as he's due to collect me too! smile

Yes no problem at all. The airport is an easy run for us, just 20 mins up the motorway and we are just 2 minutes from a junction smile the only thing I would ask us no very early return flights wink

Martin, out of interest, how far is the airport to Leamington Spa? Ideally I suppose we'd like to be at the hotel by 2pm at the latest to ensure we get to the venue in time for Joanne's set at 3.

Its not far, I would say 40 minutes at the most. Its a Saturday so traffic is not an issue.  If anyone is struggling with logistics wanted to come the day before we have a spare room.

Hey Maggie, glad to hear you are coming too! smile

Another gig that may be of interest to you is Oli Brown, Joanne Shaw Taylor and Jay Tamkin at the Jazz Cafe in London on 16th December. You may not have heard of Jay as yet, but it's probably fair to say he is the most talented of the three of them. smile

It will be good to see you too smile

I have heard of Jay but was away at a conference in Canada when he played at Herne Hill recently.  My cousin, Lydia went and said that he was fantastic.

I already know about the gig on 16th Dec but there is nothing on the Jazz Cafe site as yet.  Will see Aynsley at Sutton in November - it is all go down here smile
