Once again Deezer you have taken the words right out of my brain.  I have yet to see the performance and judge, so I am just judging the outcome.  I say, BEST thing that ever could've happened.  If you don't get knocked down, "I'll show 'em" has no impetus for inspiration.  And if you're gonna be a showman...... SO very cool you are not the least bit out of touch with yourself Tallan, yet all the grown-ups are!  A lifetime of laughing at that one ahead of you lol . No disrespect Dad & Mom, Roy, Cathy and all other etc. peeved peeps.  I just think it is great, as he is wink.

Re: America's Got Talent....Tallan "T-Man" Latz

It's called "America's Got Talent" not America's Got Taste. Most of these type of shows are garbage anyways.

When I was a child I spoke as a child, But all I heard was how I should get ahead,
Now growing up it ain't anything but all This indecision with these debts and doubts
And worries hanging over my head. When I was a child I spoke as a child,
I wish I could remember what I said.

Re: America's Got Talent....Tallan "T-Man" Latz

Yes boys, this brings out the Mommy in me. And a great sense of indignity that they set this kid up and then smacked him down. Not the first time he's experienced that in his 9 years of life. To me it's a "Pick on somebody your own age" kind of thing. I HATE these kind of shows. They are painful to watch and hear...like Kar-e-okie...I TiVo'd for T-Man. Watch the you-tube clip and you'll know why we all assumed he'd move on....but I have a sneaking suspicion they aren't done with Tallan or Ciarra...just a gut feeling. Good news is indead that Tallan will be fine. He knows he has tons of supporters, and he always mentions Joe..he did on the radio show this week.  Cathy aka Mommy, Nanny, Auntie Cate

Re: America's Got Talent....Tallan "T-Man" Latz

Of course, Deezer, Rocket and Big Jeff are right but it doesn’t stop us from wanting to defend Tallan against the mean corporate machine that is AGT.

I feel pretty sure that if this happened in the UK there would be outrage in the popular press as we have a history of sticking up for the little guy. Has there been any press coverage of this event in the US? Maybe there has locally, but as AGT goes out across the country, how about nationally?

Re: America's Got Talent....Tallan "T-Man" Latz

You know, with all of the posts here and the E-mails that I received voicing the same opinions, maybe we should all write the show and tell them how disgusted we are? I'm sure it won't make a hill of beans worth of difference, but you never know, stranger things have happened.

Of course, we should also keep in mind Tallan's words to his father:

"Dad, don't fret it, its over and now its time to move on."

When I saw Tallan a couple of weeks ago I sensed no lasting disappointment. He simply told me that he made it through the first round in Houston, but not the second round in Vegas. It takes a "Big Man" who's small in stature, to keep his chin held that high. He may be only 9 years old now, but since the beginning I've known a much more mature person named Tallan. smile

Re: America's Got Talent....Tallan "T-Man" Latz

As good as some of these shows are they are only for the short term and may have done more harm than sucess, Tallan has already built up a following thru local shows and on the internet too and like all young live performers home is up on that live stage, he will learn his art and at just 9 years old is already one of the finest honest rawest talents out there in the Blues Rock world, just keep doing what you do, play that guitar and entertain and he's got such a smart head on him and with such caring parents he'll be just ok
Things like this will make him stronger for the road ahead

Re: America's Got Talent....Tallan "T-Man" Latz

"Time to move on" - Spoken like a man!

And if they do come crawling back to say maybe we got it wrong and can you come back next week, I sincerely hope Tallan and his dad tell them what they can do with their offer. It will just be more publicity for the show they are after.

These people would only truly be interested in how much money they can make from Tallan anyway, and they have probably already figured that his age, ("wow - how can such a young kid play guitar like that!") will actually be detrimental to their moneygrabbing. I say this because Tallan's age will restrict how much he can get out there and fulfill his requirements to them.
The marketing machine would put enormous strain on this young man's development - gigs, personal appearances, PR obligations, recording commitments.
I'm also sure his folks will want to ensure he continues through school etc, and give him the chance to develop as a young man, not just as a musician.

Tallan has great ability for his age. A talent that needs to be nurtured and allowed to grow at its own pace and most of all enjoyed.

Put this behind you Tallan and take your time - you'll still get there, and be better for it.

I wish you fame and fortune through your music (but at your own terms).
