Topic: Davy Knowles/BDS in Burlington, VT

Saw a great show last Friday - was interesting to see the new incarnation of the band.  Davy seems to be getting along quite well with his new band-mates.  Short review here:

Pictures here:  (warning - there are a lot, and the lighting left a bit to be desired)

Finally got to meet JBRules (Paul) and a friend of his who was at RAH - but don't ask me his name because by the time I met him my brain was mush!

Thanks for the pics. So he's into his PRS now, is he?

Re: Davy Knowles/BDS in Burlington, VT

Thanks Sandy,
I think the new band are great from what I've seen on You Tube. I'm loving the new cd too.

The pics are good considering the lighting! It was pretty dark and those red lights roll

Still looking forward to seeing them here one day.....Tripsy smile

I remember Paul JBRules (& his friend is likely the same fellow, strange his name slips my mind also) from a great 2005 Joe Bonamassa show...did he have on a Red Sox baseball cap again?

Excellent pictures Sandy! smile I see Davy was wearing his white shirt and black tie again. In Milwaukee, when he walked across the stage, I yelled out, "Hey Davy, you going to church?" Davy laughed. lol Although, I think he does look good in it.

And Bluesbreaker,

Yes, what you see Davy playing now is a PRS Smokeburst McCarty guitar rather than his teal colored Strat. http://www.prsguitars.com/smokeburstmccarty/index.html

My understanding is that he was given the guitar by PRS, but who knows if that is accurate. Maybe I'll ask him in a couple of weeks.

EVERYBODY up here has a Red Sox cap - well, almost everybody!  Occasionally a brave person will be seen in a Yankees cap!  Paul told me his friend was from Kansas - his name is Richard Bowers.  He had another friend with him as well who seems to go to a lot of shows with Paul.  Maybe that is who you are thinking of.

Roy, I  liked the white shirt and tie - sort of "the British schoolboy" look, and if I remember he played a PRS last year in Burlington - the F****r was acting up that night.

Tripsy - if BDS won't come to you, come on over here sometime - we would have a great time.  Our trip to Burlington was a girls trip, and we had an excellent time, and yes, red lighting should be banned from all concerts - blue and white please!

Sometimes you need a bit more beef and then a Strat does not always deliver. I think you can hear the differences quite clearly on the new album.
