A mega-talent, and although the word has been overused, he was a cultural icon and the king of pop. I was never able to shake the sense of sadness I felt for him after he started carving on his face. What a drag it must have been to be so famous and yet so uncomfortable in your own skin. He ended up looking hideous…but was such a cute kid. My daughters were absolutely crazy about him in his “Thriller” days.
It would be easy to praddle on about the suspected child molestation incidents et al, but right about now he’s receiving judgement from someone or something who knows the whole truth – and who’s position on the matter is of greater significance than anything I might think or say.
It will be interesting to watch the made-for-tv movies to follow.
