Topic: Long time JB fan, short time forumite

Hello all.  Glad I found this! 

I've been a JB fan since... well, I was in NY years ago at a Danny Gatton show, and this Kid gets up and just smokes!  Yep, it was JB! 

I've got every CD he's recorded, and am just now starting to collect the live shows that are available. 

I've been playing guitar for over 40 years, primarily blues and blues rock.  All the talent that I have couldn't even begin to give me the right to tune this guys guitar.   JB, you've come a long way, and you've miles to go.  Keep it up! 

Now, if we can convince Fender to give Joe a signature, custom shop Strat! 

... and after so many years, Today I managed to score front row for the October 23rd show in nearby Peoria!  This waiting is going to make for a very long summer.

Welcome to the forum Twangmaster! How fantastic to have followed Joe's career from the start. You must have been to quite a few shows and you are still excited about the next one. That's understandable, I've only known about Joe for nearly three and a half years and been to ten shows and I can't wait for the next one in Dec.
As for the comment about about a signature Fender......I think Joe's quite happy with his Gibson tongue

Actually, i've only seen him live once back many years ago.  and was quite surprised to run across 'bloodline' a couple of years ago.  Needless to say, i'm just a bit excited about copping front row seats!

Is that a reference to a tele ??

Sure is a cool place.

Must say I prefer the Gibson influenced sound from Joe.
I have everything he has released (as far as I'm aware) and listened to some of the earlier stuff very recently and thought how much the sound had progressed and developed and I got to thinking some of it was because of the great humbuckers. Dunno. Might be way off beam there.

I have Les Paul and Strat so no silly nah nah anh nah nah stuff making me think that.

I'll probably think something different tomorrow. Lifes rich tapestries cool

Not necessarily a reference to a Tele...  more like guitars in general, and it's definately in "Jest".  I'm no master for sure!  Been playing since I was 9 and lets just say that i've been  at it for over 40 years.  the current crop consists of a couple of strats, a tele, ibanez 335 clone, SG, and an LP gold top.  I tend to play the strats and the semi hollow more than the others, but just love the sound of the neck pickup through a marshall, as well as great techincal playing ability like Joe has. 

I really like the info available on this board, and will be on here probably quite a bit.

Nice selection of guitars there.
One of the LPs in my avatar is an Ibanez copy over 30 years old now.
I've been "playing" for well over 30 years and have just about got past the putting my fingers in place on the frets with the other hand !
I wonder if I'll ever get it !!
Next time I meet Joe I'm gonna count his fingers wink
