Topic: Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood. Columbus OH June 15 09

Saw Sir Eric and Steve Winwood at the Value City Arena in Columbus. Man what an awesome show that was. They opened up the show with Had To Cry Today, and closed it with Mr. Fantasy. In between those two, they played a good version of Little Wing, and a KILLER version of Voodoo Chile (it was 12 minutes long). The only thing i could possibly say that was wrong with the concert (and it didnt even bother me, really) is that EC has very little stage presence or crowd interaction. I look at it from the standpoint that he is up there playing his heart out, and isnt going to waste time on BS. He packed in a ton of music in that 2 hours and didnt go on any rants or anything like that. Overall the show was amazing, and it was very very cool to see the two of them together like that!

You are going to LOVE it. I think that my favorite songs of the night were Voodoo Chile, Forever Man, and Can't Find My Way Home.

Oh, I´m SO envious!!
But great to hear that you had such a good time at the show ...

At least I´ll get to see Steve Winwood in July - on the same bill with Joe. Well, not bad either. wink
