Topic: Happy Birthday Les Paul

Happy birthday to the "Waukesha Wizard" from Wisconsin!

I've always said... the two most important and iconic things that make America what it is in pop culture history came out of the Milwaukee area:  the Les Paul and Harley-Davidson. cool

Yes der Tom you betcha, Miller High Life the Champagne of Bottled Beer! Oh geez, I get such a headache from Miller products. yikes

And as far as Usinger is concerned, if and when you come to Wisconsin, I'll take you to my neighbor's store; Karl's Country Market-Home of the Beautiful Meats! smile Just ask Joebeacon; I sent him some of Karl's sausage and all beef wieners to settle a bet and he darn near moved to Wisconsin! Karl's won all sorts of national and internatonal competitions for his sausage. He even travels to Germany and has won there too. On top of all of that, he is a wonderful fellow and loves to fish! He gives me a smoked Salmon every once in while. Dat's vaht we call a good guy up here, hey! wink

You know you share a birthday with my sister Roy but I think the's 2 years older.

Re: Happy Birthday Les Paul

I would've loved to have seen him last night at the Iridium Jazz Club! What can I say? Great, great man. Lovable, and maybe I should hook him up with my Grandma (5 months younger woman Lester, hey hey wink).  Check this, the original patent for the Les Paul:

If we're going that far, we might as well mention NFL football and the Green Bay Packers... as football pioneers. And bowhunting for deer was first recognized by the DNR  in WI. The bowling hall of fame is in Milwaukee I think too!

but i really just wanted to wish HBday  to mister lester.
