Re: chantel mcgregor

Hiya Steve. Yeah I think she's terrific. I saw her first when Joe played the Cockpit in Leeds last month and she joined him for You Upset Me Baby. She has played a few gigs round here lately but I have been unable to make it to any of them for one reason or another. She was playing at the Burnley blues festival yesterday but we didn't go because the weather was bad and the car has been playing up . If you like what you've seen on You Tube then why not take a trip up to lovely Yorkshire. She often plays in Harrogate at the Blues Cafe. I hope to catch up with her soon.

Regards Tripsy

Re: chantel mcgregor

She's very good Stevea, Took some pictures of her at Joes gig in Manchester and sent them to her home address. She was good enough to post them on her website and give me a mention - thanks Chantelle! She played with Joe in Leeds (As Tripsy says) and previously in Manchester last time around, which must be a blast for her!

Re: chantel mcgregor

We saw Chantelle for the first time at the Burnley Blues Festival on Saturday.  She was absolutely amazing and the word had obviously got out because the place was packed.  She's definitely worth travelling to see and we will be looking out for other venues she's playing.  Unfortunately we did not see Joe at Manchester and Leeds so we did not see her then.  Maybe she'll be in Liverpool in July?

Re: chantel mcgregor

Does anyone have any future dates for Chantelle?  I've found the Rock Cafe in Huddersfield on 17 April but haven't been able to find any more dates.

Re: chantel mcgregor

Hi Kayabarb,
Glad you enjoyed Burnley, great fun!!!!!!
If you have a look on my site www.chantelmcgregor.com there's a page with all my gigs listed. It's always up to date as I maintain the site myself.
Would love to do Liverpool but that's up to Joe.
Hope to see you soon, come and say hello.

Re: chantel mcgregor

Well I got to see Chantel on thursday night at the Blues Bar in Harrogate. I had the week off so didn't have to get up early.
What can I say, that girl really rocks!
It was the first time I've seen her with her new bass player, Alex Jeffrey and I thought he was really good. He goes to the same college of music in Leeds.
They both have their exams coming up in a few weeks.....good luck to them, I'm sure they won't need it.
Looking forward to hearing some of Chantel's own material in the near future, I know it's gonna be fantastic smile

I took a few videos that you might like :

Hi Tripsy,

You've recorded world's only version of Voodoo Chile where someone shrinks by three inches whilst playing it!!!!!!!!!!

Re: chantel mcgregor

Funny but true!!!!!!!

Should be a good night at the Queen's Hall, the News Of The World has listed it as one of their "hot tickets". I'm told Wishbone Ash were excellent in Glasgow last week. Seem like really nice people. The week after the Edinburgh gig, I'm playing with them again at Wilbarston, Northamptonshire.

Re: chantel mcgregor

Is it Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash or Andy Powells?

Re: chantel mcgregor

Hi Becky,

It's Andy Powell's Wishbone Ash

Re: chantel mcgregor

Kewl! Andy Powell is a gent, met him many a time at the Robin in Bilston! Have to say I prefer Martin Turner up front... but either way... excellent that your supporting them!

Nice playing by the way! big_smile

Should be great gigs, I looks forward to it, hopefully a few of the other Bonabuddies will also come to the Edinburgh show. smile

Chantel, hope you don't mind me asking here, but I'm sure others would interesting to know too, do you have any plans to issue a recording of your work for sale at gigs?

(big apologies if you already do so...)
