Topic: Mark Selby

Hey guys,

Just thought I´d post something about this guy, because his latest album "Nine pound Hammer" has the honor of alternating with Joe´s stuff in my CD payer wink.
I bought the album for my Dad´s birthday in April and have listened to it myself a lot since then - the songs are the kind that "stay in your ear" if you know what I mean... has anybody else here bought this album?!

I tried to find some of his stuff on youtube, but mainly found 1000 snooker videos from a guy who´s also called Mark Selby lol - so if you want to hear what the songs sound like just have a look here: http://www.amazon.com/Nine-Pound-Hammer … amp;sr=8-1 . It´s pretty much Bluesrock with "catchy tune quality" wink.

P.S.: I like "Buck Fifty and a Flat-Head Ford" best ...

Re: Mark Selby

We have 2 Mark Selby CD's - love both of them - I think he wrote lots of songs
for KWS - he's another one on my "to see" list.

Re: Mark Selby

Yes Eva.   I LOVE Mark Selby and I really dig his new album.  I listened to More Storms after he opened up for KWS and then realized how much writing he had done for KWS (as well as others.) I love More Storms.

Initially I did not like Dirt all that much, but it has grown on me as my favorite of his work.  Really good stuff...can never get enough of the song One Man.  I also really like....And the Horse He Rode in On.  Great cover of Last Goodbye.

Was very excited for the new album and was not disappointed.  Lots of rock on it.  I love his voice and he is a very underrated guitar player.  I thought I was the only one that liked him...glad to hear there are some other fans.  I wish he would tour some in US...he never does!
