Re: Rhode Island April 3, 2009
LOL....sorry I was without access to a computer for the weekend, which sometimes is a good thing...LOL
Ok a few things about my first show....
1) sitting in the front row is a must!!!
2) Joe was amazing!!!...simple and straight to the point/truth
3) the guys in the band were awesome....they compliment Joe very well...but as some else said earlier, the keyboards were inaudible even for me sitting with them right in front of me.
4) what I really enjoyed about the show was being so close as a guitarist I was able to "steal" some of Joe's tricks that I can't wait to add to my own playing...GREAT learning experience...
One bummer about the night is that I was hoping to get a chance to just say hi to Joe but I know he had a long night and some travelling to do.
Now for the results of how the show effected me:
As a promoter in New England, I have decided that I need to make the right connections and bring Joe back hopefully later this year....so now I am going to my assistants and going to do some brain storming....and hopefully make this a reality...
and yes..that white suit that Joe wore really messed with the cell phone pics ....LOL
Finally, the entire show was fantastic...Joe's story about Lupos had me in stitches...every song was amazing but to me Sloe Gin really really touch something inside of me...really spoke to me on a totally different level than any other song.....
Joe, if you ever read this...thanks for a wonderful show and I look forward to seeing you again and hopefully as the promoter of the show...maybe a fundraiser for the charities i work with...
