Topic: Kind of a gear question...

I am wondering if anyone knows why at some venues Rick and Bogie are on elevated platforms on the stage and other nights, like last night @ Birchmere, they are set up directly on the stage?   I also am wondering why Rick has moved from being on the right side of the stage to the left since last fall.

On a small stage like The Birchmere they don't use risers because the footprint is too large.

The way they currently are set up as discovered at the Birchmere allows for Joe to move about easier even on small stages.

Thanks.  I guess Joe tripping over a riser in the middle of a solo would not be good.
