Doesnt look like this got much interest, but one group "The Plateros" were cool....a family band with a young SRV wannabee on lead sounds good , especially for 15 years old....you hear the LLB influence also...anyhow, sound clips are cool on all of these artist

In case you're more interested in The Plateros, here's a link to a thread on this very forum from about 6 months back :

They opened up for Ryan McGarvey last month, and being fashionably late, I only got to hear one song, but it was a SRV song (I heard their whole set was, so apparently I didn't miss much -not that I don't like SRV, but a whole set of such covers just doesn't do it for me), but they have serious potential if they have the original songs to back it up.

Then Mr.McGarvey came on, and despite what some have said here recently, put on an awe inspiring set filled with the kind of guitar pyrotechnics which are sure to make him a bona fide star within the next couple of years.

Dave , went into their site and had a look around , skipped thru nearly every cd (it took an hour roll) wrote down 4 that caught my ear

Jeffrrey David's Blues Connection ..... Real Good Stuff (like a metal blues feel)
Too Slim & The Taildraggers ..... (live but you can hear some tasty tunes in their)
Steve Fister ..... Recommended by our very own Keith , and you can hear why
The Force ..... Rock/Blues with a harder edge

But Jeffrey David was marked as a purchase

Thanks Shreddy ....... under 30 days Buddy   cool

Joe Bonamassa .......  His Greatest 3 Videos ... IMMHO   After Much Deliberation

Michael...I don't know how The Force sounds..., and frankly, by how they describe the album as sounding...well, let's just say that's something I wouldn't want to hear, and I don't think Philo or Joe would be interested in watching lol  roll:P Classic textbook example of a blurb you probably don't want to use to PR your band ......;)

Re: "CD BABY" ....if you like Bonamassa

I'm having a major problem find a cd that has both good guitar and good vocals. That is missing so much in blues/ bluesrock albums. Thank god for Joe and KWS.  ...this is where I like to say John Mayer too because people cringe. big_smile
