Topic: Bob Lefsetz

I have been getting Bob's newsletter for a little over a year now. The most recent issue had a link to a video of a lecture by a guy named Gladwell who used Fleetwood Mac as a method to make his point on creativity.

There are many paralells to Joe's situation. He talks about 10,000 hours before you really come proficient at anything. That equates to about 10 years of constant practice or touring. He draws many parallels with the music business and creativity.

Any budding musician should watch this. It is rather long but very insightfull. Also Google Bob Lefsetz and sign up. his commentary on the state of the music business is very insightful.

Re: Bob Lefsetz

Hi Jim,

I was thinking of you watching that football game the other night, sorry about your Sooners...we were rooting for them. wink I had the guilts a little since my niece is a Gator...

I've read many interesting things from Bob, but never signed up.  I didn't read the whole story, but coincidently I tried to order that book Blink the other night and it was out of stock.  A psychologist was on a show the other night taking about that Madoff crook and referenced how great that book was.
