I don't think Joe would argue with putting a pair of PAF's in...

Hope not! I have a pair of sheptones in mine-big improvement. I have sheps on my top 4 axes, except my baker b1 which has holmes pups. Can't afford a bunch of those sets. I also changed all the Gibson wiring out for an RS kit. Just sounds better. Also something I do on all my guitars...except the 339 because that is a pain in the butt and I havent gotten motivated enough just yet.

It's your axe dudes, if your intent is resale-then lock the case and forget about it. If you want to rock it-do what you want! Make it yours. Buzzing the neck is a little extreme, but some folks like the finish-free-feel. Gibbys can feel downright sticky compared to poly or unfinished necks.

Re: Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Registry (Serial Numbers "BONAMASSA XXX")

One JB is in Sam Ash in NY and it's for sale at $4550 ... i was on vacation there last month and didn't have time to have a close look to tell the number but maybe someone could go check it on 48th street... it looked more aged than mine on the top.

JBLP #214 very proud owner smile

Re: Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Registry (Serial Numbers "BONAMASSA XXX")

I am the new owner of #262, an un-aged Bonamassa that I purchased from a member of TGP.  Beautiful, great sounding guitar, though I'm still getting used to that big ol' neck big_smile

I am the new owner of #181, that I purchased from a shop in Italy during the Guitar festival in Milano (Italy). The night after Joe performed to the Ciak Theatre and signed up my guitar's certificate! Too kind!!

Happy new year to all of you!

Re: Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Registry (Serial Numbers "BONAMASSA XXX")

Yep bought #276 but  on delivery the neck was broken at headstock. Sent it back and Gibson have built me #281 took delivery this week. Candy Apple Blue. Couple of differences from the #276. COA is standard Gibson rather than with JB picture . Pickup selector switch is beige/brown instead of black. Think the serial number format is different. Pete you can check it out when you get your hands on it.

But most of all it sounds sweet!

So #276 to #281 are Candy Apple Blue.

Guess I should change my id..:P.

Re: Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Registry (Serial Numbers "BONAMASSA XXX")

First of all, welcome to the forum.

Second you seriously need to post some pics for the rest of us to drool over! lol

As mentioned further back on this thread, Patty started a JBLP Owner's group on Facebook too.

Major Tom to ground control...

Re: Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Registry (Serial Numbers "BONAMASSA XXX")

Hi guys,

JB Les Paul #242 is up for sale again...

It is at a very reasonable price (I paid a lot more for it! It is the cheapest I've found in the UK!) - I would really love it if one of you guys (a FAN not a shop/collector) could get hold of the guitar... That is why I have posted here on the forum (hope that is OK)

eBay auction goes live at 15.30 GMT, Item #180461525086

Thanks for looking guys!

Re: Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Registry (Serial Numbers "BONAMASSA XXX")

I'm sorry to hear that. What makes you sell?
I have #140 and its the best LP I ever owned (and by god it were a lot wink )
Maybe sleep another night over it...?
But the price is pretty good. I'm sure it gets sold quickly.

Good luck
Alex

Good luck on your sale- I was gonna sell mine but pulled back as I do really love this guitar, though I have no love for the Burstbucker II and IIIs-

I am curious what these were/are going for new in the UK/EU? Perhaps that's unanswerable since there aren't any for sale as new in the UK/EU.

Your listing is at GBP $2,500.00 so approx. $4,000.00 US-

Which implies you guys are paying somewhere north of those numbers for new..

Just curious as our market/currency is so off right now that any US buyer will likely not bite though I guess even that
is debatable since there simply none of these on the market.

Clearly these units are holding value and will likely continue to do so.

Re: Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Registry (Serial Numbers "BONAMASSA XXX")

The Street price after the release was 3800 euro
in germany. After a year or so they lowered down to 3400 euro.
Now they are sold out as you said.
I bought mine at coda in UK for 2500 pounds when the
euro rated almost 1:1 to the euro. So I had a good deal
and never regret the buy.
