Topic: The Germany Tour

Hello everyone,

As I´m doing nearly the whole Germany-Tour (exept Erfurt) I thought I´d post one big topic, so I won´t spam the forum with 1000 concert reviews wink. I´ll be "on the road" until next Thursday and hope that I´ll find a place with acess to internet from time to time so I can "report live" from the tour. wink

Ooooh, this is so exciting!! And how nice of the boys to start their tour in my hometown .... smile
I´ll be in Nürnberg tonight with my parents, two of my friends and Thomas from the forum - we´re all counting the hours now!!! Yippie! smile

You go girl!!!! Five shows, what a fan, but you know that's short for fanatic. Keep up the phenomenal Street Team work in Deutschland. VIVA EVA!!!!! Wish I could do a Euro trip someday.

Re: The Germany Tour

just got back from the hirsch and we were all blown away. i have seen joe there two years ago and wooooooooooooow, he has changed a lot. not only physical, i think he is more entertainig now and puts a bit more show in it. moreover the band is more integrated and thats what i liked most. last time it was more or less a one man show, not so tonight.
they played a killer show from beginning to end and sometimes let you stand there breathless.
he is playing tunes clear like a bird singing and on other parts rough like an old machine.
we stood just 1m in front of him and see how his fingers move...............unbelievable . he opened with a new song which is called ballad for john henry it think. perfect opener. there was so many roads, high water everywere, mountain time an outstanding intro for sloe gin, one of my favourite. going to the end with just got paid with dazed and confused in it. the hirsch was cooking and the band got them all.
its great when i got shivers on your back when i hear music that goes deep inside and makes me forget everything around. they did it. thanx a lot to joe bonamassa and band.
thanx to eva to get me in for the soundcheck and of course for your company. its nice being with your mum and dad and i hope you had a saved trip home.
the best thing is.........................i will have about the same tomorrow again in ludwigsburg........................live is great.
good night
Thomas

"Thomas remark " making you breathless" describes the experience best... it was just wooooooow, even better than Liverpool.. I´m ...still flowing in the music. This guy is a genius!
warm greetings to everybody I know and LOOK FORWARD TO SEE ALL AT RAH
Angela"

Oh boy .... they are SO good!! The first thing I said to Carmine after the show was "Man, you don´t believe HOW much I missed that!" wink
It was great to get back to the place where I first "fell in love" with Joe´s music 2 years ago - and to feel these magic moments of "WOW, I (still) can´t believe it - this is just too good to be true" again ...
Everyone was a little tired from the 12 hours trip from Italy, but nevertheless they put on a fantastic show - the audience was clapping and screaming like crazy ....

And you sure got that right Michael - Sloe Gin and The Great Flood did get me .... smile what a beautiful new intro (also on One of these days!!). And Blues deluxe .... what a killer song!

I´m pretty tired now too (so this is a short review - but there are more to come...), but I can really sum it up in one sentence:
I suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure gooot it baad, Yeah! smile

..... and I´m looking forward to the next 4 shows big_smile ...............

Eva

P.S.: BIG thank you to Harry for letting me in so early and sparing me the queuing-hour in the cold ....

Re: The Germany Tour

Wow, I'm late to the thread but just...WOW. How cool! I'm so jealous, seriously. I WISH I could just hop from show to show like that, but sadly it's not in the cards while in school...oh well! Enjoy it Eva, that's one seriously awesome experience. Looking forward to more reviews.

Re: The Germany Tour

Well you better catch your breath Eva.....now thats some nice hospitality, you dont want to catch a cold out in that chilly weather...it is fun hearing the band when you havent seen them for some time...have fun, be safe

Re: The Germany Tour

Yes, it was a fantastic concert. I have seen them now four times live and they were getting better from time to time. Rick and Carmine were commenting it cool - something like it is in their nature to get better. Good nature.
I am so happy to be in it once more tonight in Ludwigsburg.
