Re: Royal Albert Hall ..... ( Roll Call )

Hey Michael,

Did you forget Phil(ip) Woodford or am I mistaking?

Just got an email from him that he's in London too!

Hi Andre, yes don't worry, I'm on the list. As I was standing next to Michael in the queue he could hardly miss me big_smile

Michael, small request my friend - just to emphasise to everyone who comes on these pages, not least Joe. Please could you edit the list and add the country each person is from, that would clearly show anyone who views, just how much Joe is regarded, world wide.

Hi Michael

I'll be there, struggled to get a ticket. Would be good to meet people from the forum for a beer on the night.

Cheers

Re: Royal Albert Hall ..... ( Roll Call )

I get in on Saturday morning 5/2.  Heading to the Hammersmith Apollo for the Gary Moore show that evening. Anyone else attending that?  Likely a pub crawl afterward if I can get a few hours sleep on the plane or before the show.

Sunday is completely open.  This would be a good day to have a Bonabuddy get together. It looks like we will have a fair turn out! GREAT!

Monday planning on doing a little shopping in the afternoon then hit a pub for some grub before the show. DEFINITELY pub crawling afterwards - probably stay up all night as I head home Tuesday morning.  I would have liked to stay a few extra days in London but I'm burning a lot of vacation days in Las Vegas next month and in Germany and Holland in April.  I already had all of that planned before news of the RAH gig hit, luckily I still had a few days left to burn!

Re: Royal Albert Hall ..... ( Roll Call )

I've been chatting with a couple of people off forum about whether it may be worth approaching some British blues rockers and seeing if they would be interested in playing a gig on the Sunday night which we could use as a forum get-together and give us more chance to mingle. Would that be of interest?

I hope we can find a venue large enough to hold everyone... It's looking like there will be 100+ if everyone on this list shows. Thanks for your efforts Duncan and Michael and everyone else helping to put this together! smile

Duncan,

You know my thoughts on this. It would be great to get together and see a band. The only reservation I have is that we may not be able to do much talking. sad

Re: Royal Albert Hall ..... ( Roll Call )

I have tickets from two sources, so I'm grateful for the wonderful Bonabuddies out there, especially George wink and Melissa. smile

I hope to travel to London for a long weekend, Friday to Tuesday, but my concert partner hubby has to stay behind to manage the homefront and none of the Bonacrew I see at shows are going...so I'm a singin' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band...:D

Anyone traveling out of Philly or Newark, NJ send me an e-mail OR anyone on the east coast...I don't want to fly solo!  Thanks.

Re: Royal Albert Hall ..... ( Roll Call )

Thanks for the interest guys.  All I can do is send an email to a few email addresses I have, but hopefully there would be an act or two willing to play a gig on that night. It is the day before a bank holiday and with 5000 Joe B fans in the area, hopefully they could see the opportunity to pull in a decent crowd.
Yes I appreciate talking may not be that easy (easier than the RAH though).  A good venue would hopefully have a live music area and bar area, but then again I know little about London live venues...
I'll send some emails and see if anything comes of it...

Re: Royal Albert Hall ..... ( Roll Call )

Thanks for updating the list, Michael; it looks even more impressive now with all the place names. If anyone who hasn’t put their hometown on their profile isn’t too shy, perhaps they could drop Michael a mail so that the list can be complete. Similarly, if there is anyone who hasn’t posted their attendance here, please do so – the more the merrier. smile

As for the name tags, does anyone work in PR or Events Management who could assist? If not we could always get some of those reusable name tags used at conventions etc. You know the sort that is made of clear plastic with a card slipped inside. It would be nice if they could be of a decent size and have a motif to commemorate the occasion. Can anyone help with this or is computer literate enough to be able to design something? Any other ideas welcome.

Would people want to remain anonymous and have just their forum name on the badge or their first name as well? I'm sure most would be happy to have both. Something to think about.
