Re: Royal Albert Hall May 4th 2009

Just spoken to the RAH ticket office and they have quoted from their own briefing letter that the tickets will not go on sale until the 21st (we all knew that) Standing is £20 - in the balcony (so beware of those tickets) Ticket prices range from £20 - £45 for the rest of the hall. ALL SEATED!!!!! Ticket sales may commence at 9am or later, it depends on the promoter - Paul Crockford Management! Looks like the Street Team won't be getting any preferential opportunities, which is a real shame!

Yes, Jane. Oldies will be allowed too. big_smile

Seriously, though. I don't think there's any reatriction on age, lower or upper.

Hi guys,
Not taking any chances here, doing a 200 mile round trip to ensure good seats. Been stiffed by internet and phone sales too many times..

Thanks Phil,

Nice bit of detective work there, Tripsy!! I hadn`t thought of it being BH. One less thing to pay out for, so more money to buy Joe-things... ;-)

Re: Royal Albert Hall May 4th 2009

Man, my phone took a serious hit tonight, calls all over the place after the disappointing news filtered through that we were on our own, ticket wise.

I think we've got several bases covered, which means that there should certainly be some spare capacity to be had when we look at what we've got come Friday evening.

Angela, you're covered.;)

Let me drop another bomb on y'all...

http://www.gary-moore.com/

Check out Saturday May 2nd...  we might have to migrate across the pond a couple of days earlier... smile

I don't suppose Joe might have a "special guest" at RAH???  (horn section, etc.)

Maybe it's just wishful thinking but I sure as heck wouldn't mind seeing Gary twice in 3 days...

(didn't want to ruin any surprise you might have up your sleeve Joe, but someone else might have figured this out soon enough).

I AM GETTING SO PSYCHED I CAN'T STAND IT (and the show is 5 1/2 months away)!!!

Major Tom to ground control...

The bank holiday thing is good, except bear in mind that the rail network often do engineering works on Sundays and bank holidays and train schedules can suffer massively as a result. So for anyone travelling by train I'd recommend checking on any planned engineering works on your route.... wouldn't want to have to take a replacement bus and miss the gig!!

If I'm alive when I'm 99 I'm still gonna be saying, "Remember 4th May 2009 when we saw Joe at the RAH... what a night that was!"

Re: Royal Albert Hall May 4th 2009

Heads up,
the best seating for view and acoustics is without doubt the Loggia boxes, booking boxes is pretty much out to the question but you can. I would be trying to get tickets front left or right of the stage and in front of the Loggia level boxes.
I know were I will be, usual place near the stage, but not giving exact location;)
Also found out that if you disabled carer goes free, nice one and very much appreciated.

Not sure if I like the sound of that, Geoff. sad  I don’t understand why the RAH can’t put something on their website to at least confirm that Joe will be there on 4th May.

Anyway, a couple more suggestions as we build up to Friday - not long to go now. smile

As Relayer mentions on page 4, the RAH box office is probably the best place to buy your tickets. It’s also probably the cheapest for commission at £3.50 ($5.25 or €4.20) per booking.

I would recommend you visit the RAH website and familiarise yourself with the ticket buying process. The link below takes you to the page for May 2009 where Joe’s name will appear in the list of artists – I bet Joe can’t wait to see that either! smile

http://tickets.royalalberthall.com/seas … ear=5-2009

To expand on Relayer’s earlier post, for a practice run, click on “Book Online” next to EC’s name and a list of dates will appear. Click on “Buy Tickets” and another page will appear with a list of seating areas and prices. Click on any radio button (the circles to the left of the name of the seating area) and select the number of tickets you want to “buy” and add to cart. If there are the number of tickets you want to buy available in that area the next page will specify the exact seat numbers and you will then have 19 minutes in which to complete the transaction. At this stage click on “remove“ to empty your cart or if buying tickets proceed to the checkout and enter your credit card details and print a copy of the page (or at least save a screenshot) as a record till you get your tickets.

Apologies if this teaching granny to suck eggs for most of you, but I know that there are some forum members who are a little IT challenged. smile

On Friday, in addition to trying online I suggest you use every phone you have access to to try to get through to the RAH box office on 020 7589 8212 if you are in the UK, or if calling from outside the UK, +44 20 7589 8212.

When you get through you will have to press only one more button. Press number 2 and you should be put straight through to a booking clerk. If you are near your pc, make sure you have a plan of the area you want to buy tickets in on screen. In fact, it’s a good idea to have multiple windows open (press ctrl+n) with a layout of each seating area, just in case you have to compromise and settle for a slightly worse seat. I would point out that, apart from the Circle (and a few obstructed view seats), there really aren't any bad seats at the RAH, so don't panic if you don't get the front row. That's the benefit of being "in the round".

Hope this helps.

Phil

Re: Royal Albert Hall May 4th 2009

I think If I had booked the RAH and tickets are on sale in 1 days time, I would be a tad miffed that tI don't even show on the list of events. What is that all about???

Re: Royal Albert Hall May 4th 2009

I got two people on there computers up tonight with high speed.....if I cant get 2 tickets in the first three rows in the "Arena" then I'm not going....so were going to give it a try....me and the wife, with every credit card known to mankind...I'm going to have to slip her a "mickey" so she sleeps on that long plane flight....see you there....maybe wink

P.S.....that 1 am in the morning in Calif., so keep the coffee pot on!!

Re: Royal Albert Hall May 4th 2009

Pollstar has just updated Joe's gig at the Royal Albert Hall.

Music is good for the Soul...

Re: Royal Albert Hall May 4th 2009

I phoned the RAH today just to confirm a few things and it would seem a least the front row seats in the Arena area MIGHT be held back for press, sponsers, friends, family etc etc.

No matter how far you try to push the envelope, it remains stationery

Re: Royal Albert Hall May 4th 2009

Are the tickets only available through the RAH website? Because I keep going on the site and it doesn't say anything about him playing in May... :[
Can anyone help?

Thanks! :]

You can also call them: 020 7589 8212 ... and I think that the show will turn up as a link as soon as the tickets are available on the website too.

Welcome to the forum!! smile
