Joe forgot part of a line of Blues Deluxe in Raleigh... Not to many picked up on it until Joe said something about it...
We were there. I don't read facebook, but if Joe hadn't mentioned it as you've said, it probably would have gone unmentioned because it was NO BIG DEAL and it was actually an endearing moment!! At the beginning of Asking Around...Joe fast forwarded the lyrics and made a funny joke about not knowing his own f#$%*^% lyrics and started over again. Joe was maybe in a New York State of Mind...;) To me, it just reiterates the human quality of Joe, who consistantly continues to blow the roof off of every performance I have the pleasure of witnessing, just when I think it can't get any better, Joe ups it a little bit more by demonstrating more inhumane qualitities...those hands!!! I've been attending "Joe shows" since 2004 and I have witnessed a metamorphsis of the most electrifying and exciting guitarist, who has morphed into quite the entertainer and ITS GETTING BETTER ALL THE TIME. I can't even describe exactly what I mean, its a feeling, I don't think he's really a better guitar player than he was in 2004, its just the whole delivery of his guitar playing & singing, the total package!! I think at this point in Joe's career, he's comfortable in his own skin and is really relaxed and enjoying himself on stage, I just love you Joe...you are the BEST!!! (And to think I even considered for a brief moment selling my tickets so I could watch the Phillies...they lost because they missed my cheers...:D
Anthony and I missed you at Sam Ash Wed. night, definitely a wise move on your part... If you ever pass that way again or have any Sam Ash contact in some way, give Tom a shout out. (he was a little disappointed) Tom is showing off your gorgeous LesPaul and is thrilled about discovering you. He's only worked there 5 months after giving up his first career as an attorney, he's a newer fan and absolutely loves your latest works on LNIP...he's digging into your back catalog now.
Have a GREAT time in New York and to think that Philly may have just been a warm-up for B.B.'s in New York...WOW...the roof will land in heaven and that angel will be asking around...
A Joe concert = a little bit of heaven on earth!
You're right Angela, in a way it makes him more human. I'd like to see a video of the goof though, that kind of stuff cracks me up.
Nice post Angela.
You know how we probably all have a sort of a fantasy must see in a certain place ?
Like seeing England play Brazil at football at Wembley (Soccer that is. Resists temptation for a transatlantic sports joke).
Well mine is to see Joe at BB Kings' place in NY.
Is that a special gig for you guys in the US ??
How about anyone else ?
Where is that special event and what is it ?
Sorry, this may have strayed off topic.
Hey whatever, the topic wasn't all that broad and the question got answered. I think seeing Joe on ACL would be pretty epic...the recorded show I mean. His own DVD and all.
Here's Joe's glitch last night......i thought it was quite humorous.....and still think Joe's the greatest!!!!!

If I get to heaven...your beahuuusotrue...youreanangel oooon the uuuuh....I can't remember this *#&$in song...take it from the top!
Ahahah that's awesome!
Love the Paul with the Bigsby. I thought it looked like a flamed Joe Signature with transparent (not solid) gold top and a Bigsby when I saw it at the Coach House, but apparently Joe's been playing that Les Paul for years and randomly decided to put a Bigsby on it!
Nice post Angela.

That must be the Paradiso for us Dutchies, without any doubt. I'm out of touch with the UK scene now, but in 'my day' you would have 'made it' if you played the Hammersmith Odeon or Rainbow. If you were HUGE you might dream of playing Wembley Arena or the NEC.
But there ain't nothin' to top playing the RAH!!
Omigod! Joe IS human...and here I always thought he was some kinda mutant, the way he plays that git-tar.
I was the one that helped him remember the words. Hilight of my Bonaventure. True story is that Joe tweaked his back go-karting on their off day Wednesday. When he twisted at that moment the pain distracted him and he forgot the line "Before I meet my maker". When he restarted the song, he was having the same problem and I shouted out the line. In that YouTube video you can't quite hear me but you'll see him look over and acknowledge me. My Joe hat is now autographed and says "Thanks for the save!" Doesn't get much better than that.
More on the 4 states 5 day Bonaventure later including great pix. Front and center all 4 nights.

Joe is the best.
A great singer.
A great guitar player.
A great entertainer.
And clearly.......
A great person.
That coulda happened to anybody and most certainly has. I wouldn't be suprised to see this song become one of the biggest singalongs/lovefests in history.
LOL how can anyone not love this man? That was great, I just love his facial expressions in this clip! Got a big smile on my face watching this, thanks for posting!
Hi Ges,
It looks like our fantasies are in each other's backyard.
Mine - Joe Bonamassa headlining the Royal Albert Hall and Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page are seated together front and center. Joe invites each individually up on stage and they play a song Joe feels has most inspired him from that artist!
Nice post Angela.
