Topic: Who's ever heard of Keeley pedal mods?

I found this great site that I'm considering shopping at.

http://www.robertkeeley.com/

I'm thinking about the BD-2 phat mod. I've been looking for a Blues Driver and it's not that much more than a stock one. Does anybody have experience with these pedals?

"Search" is your friend......

There are many threads discussing Keeley. Keeley is based in OKC, have a relationship with JB and jim m.

I'd suggest emailing jim m if you don't find the info you are looking for in the forum.

Re: Who's ever heard of Keeley pedal mods?

Keeley has been modding pedals for years.  IMHO Keeley and Analoge Man do the best mod work.  Keeley also has a Rat mod that sounds amazing and both Analoge Man and Keeley have some great TS808/TS9 mods.  You can't go wrong.  You'll be happy with the product.

BTW...anyone interested check out my new webpage at

You can have mine. I dont use it. I picked up a Expandora awhile back so the blues driver sit on the shelf.

However Keeley does do great work. As suggested you should look into anologman's pedals and mods too. He is also awesome.

Another small piece of advice. Before starting a new topic, always use the search feature at the top of this page.

Spider.
If JBSRV isn't interested in the pedal maybe I'll take it off you.  Email me.
Thanks

Re: Who's ever heard of Keeley pedal mods?

Keeley modded my DL4 and one of these days I'm going to pick up a Java Boost from him AND send in my TS808. One of these days...

Re: Who's ever heard of Keeley pedal mods?

I've got a DS-1 Ultra mod that I like. I've been stomping it for four years now and it still does its thing.

Re: Who's ever heard of Keeley pedal mods?

Good stuff!

His "Original" pedals are great, too. Check out the Keeley Compressor, and the FuzzHead.

And yeah, his BD and Rat modded stuff is great.

AnalogMan  and IndyGuitarist (Brian Wampler) are also Top-Notch.

    BEWARE THOUGH!

The whole world of "Boutique Pedals" is a GAS inducing spiral. Once you're sucked into it, you may never get out! LOL

If you're not sure you can take this simple Test. Those already inflicted with the Deadly (If the Spouse realizes you're hooked, that is!) GAS will surely find that they are not alone. And they should probably find a Support Group.

    Here's the Test:

Re: Who's ever heard of Keeley pedal mods?

I have the modded Blues Driver and it is the staple of my rig, not sure if I will ever take it out. I also have a Keeley compressor I use for a clean strat sound. Very, very good products and Robert is a genuine nice guy.

Re: Who's ever heard of Keeley pedal mods?

Anyone ever bought from "whizzer-mods" on feebay? I have a Boss DS-1 from him thats pretty cool. More like a OD  at 12/12 than distortion. Bump it it can do most anything. Funky to EVH. It's no longer in my chain but it's still a great pedal. Another closet classic I guess. Geeez!

Laughed at your post Budda. Too true. I've been through so many pedals it's not funny. It's an addiction for sure! If amps were in the same price range as a stomp box I can't imagine how many amps I would own now!

Whatever happened to the Blues driver thing?  I hope it worked out for everyone.
After listening to the pedal on the Keeley sight it's probably not what I'm after...I love the Rat mod though, I need to find my early 70's Rat and send it to him:)
good luck!
