Topic: Spring Tour 2006

Hey Everybody ,
I just wanted to thank all you for making our spring 2006 tour the best we have ever done.  I had such a blast and I cant thank you all enough for traveling so far to come see me play. Its really means a whole lot.  We ended in Lorsch having such a blast.  Kevin Shirley was there and it was a great way to end.  I know we have 2 more this week in Crystal Lake but that really starts the summer shows.  It really felt great to take our bow after 60 shows and 13 weeks of touring.  Lots of adventures from Graceland and the IBC's to private tours of Mideval castles in Europe.  What may surprise you is that I dont take pictures of anything.  I prefer to commit all to memory  this way its more personal to me.
Anyway I hope everybody is doing well and healthy. ( only 2 colds in 13 weeks not bad) I also hope that you all are enjoying the new forum here.  I like it better and I am  somewhat  resistent to change or so I have been told. (Mom) I will be 29 this week and I cant belive it will be almost 18 years since my first gig.  No longer the new kid anymore I guess.
Thanks to you all for being so great to me.
Sincerely
Joe Bonamassa

Joe- Glad the spring tour went so well. I'm looking forward to the kick-off of the summer tour in Crystal Lake this coming weekend...this is one show where travel time is not an issue since the Raue Center is walking distance for me. Oh yeah, Happy Birthday!

Hey Joe...

Happy b'day (the 8th, right?).  If I recall correctly it snowed in CNY the day after your b'day.  Not only was the future of the blues delivered at the crossroads, but that "snowy day in hell" escaped thru the door when the devil slunk back home realizing he was no match for your onslaught!

I can't believe I was lucky enough to discover you 17 years ago.  It's been a hell of a ride!  Best wishes this year!

Re: Spring Tour 2006

Hi Joe!
Happy Birthday!
And congrats on the successful Spring Tour.
I had to break down and order the new cd early(only bought three though), but I'm sure I will be buying more once it's released here... gotta' buy one for all my friends! Hope you have a couple of great shows this week. Wish I could be there, but just can't make it. sad Really looking forward to you being at the Oneida Casino, and maybe you could sneak in another Shank Hall show???  smile   Can't blame me for trying!  Really enjoying the new cd and also the new forum. Even I, the technically challenged, have managed to figure out how to use it and now like it much better than the old one.
Take care!

Re: Spring Tour 2006

Joe B, thanks for the update !!! Hope to see you on the summer leg of the tour when you are up here in the northeast. Glad to hear all the good news from overseas, we all know it is just going to heat up over here (no pun intended !!) for the whole summer. Can't wait to see the VH1 deal....that is going to be fun to watch !! Take care and have a  Happy Birthday too.  LG

Re: Spring Tour 2006

Joe,
Happy Birthday on the 8th. I'm glad with the maddening schedule you keep, you remained fairly healthy. I hope the Airbourne helped you for a while.
Extremely glad you were gracious enough to agree to come play Two Frogs one more time. I know it's small, but I love the intimacy of the place. And seeing you there holds lots of special memories...........I got engaged at one of your shows there - Oct 1, 2004. Thanks for coming back............Heritage Hall or the new convention center there will be home to your next stop in Ardmore, I'm sure.
Missed you at the Guitar Show this year. Maybe you can remember to keep some time open next April and come jam with everyone. Just doesn't seem right to have a guitar show without Joe Bonamassa.
Saw a t-shirt that would be perfect for you........covered with different guitars and said "You can never have too many guitars."
Have a great birthday!
We love you,
Cion, Rick, & Arthur

Re: Spring Tour 2006

Hi, Joe.  Glad to hear that you've had yet another successful run in Europe.  Touring the castles had to be fascinating!  (The Medieval Era is one of my favorites, so I must admit to some envy there.:-)  Enjoy these last couple of shows and the well-deserved break afterward.  Thanks for the update and see you on June 2.

Re: Spring Tour 2006

Happy birthday early, Joe!  Since you're ten years my junior, you're still a kid in my book.  (Gawd, I sound old!)

Just got You & Me over the weekend.  True to form, nothing else has been in my CD player since.

Thanks for the update, and see you at Playing with Fire!

Re: Spring Tour 2006

Happy B-Day Joe!

Can't wait to catch you July on 9th, Northampton MA. That'll be my 6th show since I saw you there in '03 (I think it was) Probrably my fav because of the small venue.

Re: Spring Tour 2006

Have a wonderful birthday! Thank you for all the joy you have given me thru your music..

Re: Spring Tour 2006

Thanks for your words,

It was definetly the most succesful tour of the three till now in Europe. Everyday I get a person hooked on your music here in holland and the name Bonamassa is much better know as it was two years ago. Hopefully it is going on like that cause your music is topnotch!

Have a nice birthday and sorry I can't give you a box of wine like last year in Amersfoort!
If you want one come and get it in Winterswijk, you're very welcome!

Till the next tour in Europe.

Andre Wittebroek.

Re: Spring Tour 2006

Hi Joe,

I have had the pleasure to be in LORSCH and be asured, it's been a blast for me, too. Your gig was marvellous... so many wonderful guitar-sounds, great songs performed by a wonderful band, blown perfectly mixed by the FOH-man through the PA-system. In fact I consider it as one of the best concert I have ever seen in my life (Govt Mule was another one last year). I'll be back there if you'llbe back there, too.... big_smile
...I have to, because I forgot one CD-inlet at home for getting it signed...  *aargggh* of course the newest YOU & ME - it was lying on the CD-player and not stashed in the regular board from where I grabbed all the others in the hurry...

Hey, I have no idea when exactly your b-day is... but anyway
... HAPPY BIRTHDAY  smile to you and all the best...
Take care
