Re: Simon McBride

I have 2 of Simon's albums in my iTunes Library. He was great on the first, but I feel like every album supersedes the previous. So kudos to him. Tough market to make it in these days, it'd be cool if he broke through more but I certainly enjoy his music and would agree with those who've labelled him underrated! The world needs more Simon McBride!

Re: Simon McBride

Thanks for posting this spine tingler, Pete, it gets me every time. smile Great sound on this video by the way. wink

I've just got to post a link to your video of my favourite song of Simon's which is also my favourite version of this beautiful song. The playing on this video is absolutely gobsmacking, or as you rightly say, "stonking". The only thing missing is someone standing back in the audience recording the sound for you. wink Shame I couldn't be with you that night, but I had a date with a Scottish lady called Sandi T.

Here's that stonking version of So Much Love To Give in Oxford on 25th March, 2013 enjoyed by Pete, David (Curryman) and Sandy (Sandy Girl) before a certain Tour de Force blew through old London town.

Once you've seen this Simon's abolutely incredible playing on this video I hope you'll make an effort to see Simon on one of his upcoming UK tour dates.

My second watch of Simon McBride last night in Deal . Seated crowd were slow to get going but some of the classic McBride songs soon sorted the old gits.

The two acoustic songs were outstanding . A couple of new songs in the set . This guy really is a talent add him to your must see in 2014
