Re: riffs

That depends on your definition of a riff.

"There is nothing to it.  You only have to hit the right notes at the right time and the instrument plays itself."---Johann Sebastian Bach

Never in my life - Mountain
Mike

Black Dog - Led Zep
Bridge to Better Days - YKW

Re: riffs

That riff during the break down of Cliffs of Dover when Eric flies down D major pentatonic over the G major chord. I love that sound, playing a fifth over whatever chord to get that tonal shift.

"Music is the only thing that you can share with a million million people and you don't lose, you gain. It helps you to get energy and to live long, because when your soul is very happy then you don't want to die." - Ali Akbar Khan

Little Wing or Another Kind Of Love

"It makes it sound like the amp is about ready to explode, that's because it IS about ready to explode." -Joe

Re: riffs

the intro riff to "Can't You Hear Me Knockin'?"

it's gotta be one of the coolest riffs of all time.

Re: riffs

The riff im playing at the moment is Into The Void by Black Sabbath.  I'm road testing a Laney with my SG detuned at the moment and just can't help churning out those Tony Iommi riffs.
